Tbh as an ace person myself, I lowkey headcanon all of them as ace!

That's why Koby and Law are there, they do the kissies! Luffy will take cheek and forehead kisses but he doesn't care for/understand the rest of it.

Koby and Law aren't sex adverse but they don't really care for it either in my head.

(luffy gets lots of little trinkets Coby just buys him whatever he sees that reminds him of his bf and they end up scattered everywhere over the ship but luffy is always so excited about them. prized possessions. coby is more nervous about getting things for law but law struggles not to look flustered as hell every time coby is just too damn cute)

That's why Law got blindsided by Coby being a cute dork and fell for him so fast.

Oh my, who's that mysterious member of the strawhats that no one seems to be able to pin down? It seems like Roronoa Zoro (and some other crew members) calls them Taiko.

So we decided that Koby had enough braincells to realize he should probably put on a disguise if he was going to help out the crew in broad daylight so-

Koby has managed to pick up the Strawhat insanity™ over the months... so he's a bit feral lol

So I've been thinking about this a little. I don't have a great idea about it yet but my so far favorite idea is that Coby and Luffy sailed a bit longer together before reaching Shells Town and Luffy really grew on Coby, as Luffy tends to do. So at the end of Shells Town Coby asks to come with them.

It isn't until after Arlong Park that Coby mentions his marine dream to the crew and they encourage him to follow it. We get a Coby centric arc where they stage a massive fight (like the end of Shells Town but make it more dramatic) and Coby says goodbye and gets to join the marines.

He is, however, still part of the crew and sends them info from time to time.

Luffy isn't the kind of captain to care if having a marine as part of your crew is allowed or not, and neither is his crew. They make it work.

The East Blue crew keep forgetting to mention that their elusive intel officer (and second mate) is a marine.
