Was rewatching the WhatsApp video and this moment alone created a whole scenario in my head bc it looks like Ryan Blaney is helping George putting a helmet on and so what if that happened for real?? What if Ryan was taking George for a hot lap in his car like they usually do with celebrity from other sports??? And obv this would take place in the same universe where also Max Verstappen is running for NASCAR and, when the news that George Russell is about to do a thing like that comes out, everybody presumes that he would be put in a car with his rival, at least for the sake of their ongoing feud in F1, and Max too is pretty sure of it and despite all the big talks about how much he hates Russell that’s a strange excitement underneath bc he can’t wait to have the boy with him, just the two of them alone, and yeah okay, the camera for recording the event, which tbh would actually make the whole thing even more interesting bc they are so good at throwing darts at each other in those situations, like Max can’t even feel bad about some of the ugly things he says when George responds just as badly and the more he thinks about it the more he gets restless, to the point that, while he usually hates media duties, this time he can’t wait for it to happen– so, so! imagine his shock, his disappointment, his pure disbelief!, when he finds out Russell has chosen Ryan Blaney (who is also Max biggest rival in the NASCAR atm) for the hot lap!!!

And the worst thing is that the video is very much appreciated bc they get along like a house on fire and even F1 fans who usually hate on George are starting to revaluate him, as if all of sudden he is this cool guy who has jokes and loses all of his PR persona bc Ryan fucking Blaney of all people makes him laugh and be carefree and Max is about to punch someone, preferably his fellow NASCAR colleague and that hideous mustache which should be enough to put Max worries to rest, bc he knows how attentive George is with his delicate skin, so he could never be with someone who would scratch his face while giving even just a little kiss and the second he imagines that very scene it’s like a bolt passes through his body and makes him aware that he’s spiraling really bad so the only thing he can do to get out of this loop is obv be his usual self and try to tease George (and his new friend) through some interviews, saying things like “maybe my driving is too aggressive for princess’ likings– he needed someone slower” and then impatiently waiting for him to respond as if it’s some sort of public ritual they are doing just to be disappointed when George gets actually asked about Max’ latest words and the answer only emphasize his desire for a good experience in NASCAR and how just a friend and fantastic driver like Ryan could have given him that.

And Max doesn’t know what to with this, bc what do you mean Russell didn’t acknowledge him??? What do you mean he wasn’t even a bit rage baited by his words??? Why is Max even trying to push George if George isn’t there to push back??? Where’s the fun in it??? Also why he treats Ryan Blaney like he invented speed and races??? Did Russell get a concussion and suddenly forget who has FOUR WDC here???
