Here we go again my friends, another day, another dollar.. We'll have to work on the latter.. Today, I needed a Great escape. As mentioned, or if you know the real Joy, you have come to find my "thing" is my family, mainly my two talented, wonderful, beautiful, healthy, children. The irony in the whole blogging thing is this.. On a flight last month, having conversations with several nice people, all that came out of my mouth is MY kids this, My kids that.. I ADORE my babies, and then it dawned on me, who am I?? Of course they define me, they are ME. Right now there are two tears streaming down my face, that day I realized, Momma needs her own separate something, and here y'all have it. This will hopefully give you a big laugh, smile, or some inspiration or even motivation in your lives, on THOSE days. You know those days, where it takes everything to keep it moving, because that's just what we do!! We are strong, and motivated, we are Survivors, or at least that is what I was raised to believe. Self confidence is such a beautiful thing, it surpasses exterior beauty by far. Chin up my friends, because in the end it all works itself out, and I really believe this. Let's talk about my surroundings right now, low light, beautiful Spanish music in the background, and a bar set up with at least 20 pineapples, YUMMY!! A total escape, oh there is a Juanes song perfection.. I am dressed in head to toe Couture (from thrift stores, LOVE me some thrift stores), must be a trait passed down for generations now, my daughter can spot them out, just like her Mimi (MAM). We love a bargain!! And know good stuff, as soon as we see it, this quality also carries over to people, here comes the fun stuff!! On the way here, running down the stairs of my apartment, in heels of course, I get into my POS car, that has one speed, on a good day I can punch it down the highway, my surroundings are a naked Barbie, a gas can, (gas gauge doesn't work), toilet paper, (hey man you never know), and a giant Virgin Mary blanket I use at those COLD football games (Superstitious Catholic girl).. As you can see I have learned a thing or two from Mam.. Lol Let's shift gears for a moment, and Segway into, the life of a "Single Mom", the whole reason behind the fact I came here to use there free internet vs McDonald's..( I came for the pineapples). Looking around nothing but couples, not in the least discouraged, YET. Here I sit, really comparing the pros and cons of a Couple.. Pros of being in a relationship, and please take no offense, 1-Wedding Date, 2-Your OWN wedding, 3-Hand Holding, 4-Someone to cuddle with. And last but not least S-E-X.., on a regular.. And 5- they usually pick up the tab!! Cons, I am not the expert here, I can only speak on dating. There is the cheap date, the know it ALL date, the look at ME date, the look at my Ex date, the weirdo-quiet staring date, the date you leave at the table, the Fall from the barstool date, and then every so often there is the AWESOME date.. Keep y'all posted on THAT one??!! About to give him a call..
