“Thanks..” She smiled at him softly. “You’re a lifesaver.” Lacey said, before she shrugged. Yes, there was a lot on her mind including Alfie but right now she was worrying about her cousin and Kane. “I know… it’s nothing really, or… it’s not my business really, but Ali’s.. started seeing Kane and I can’t help but have a bad feeling about it.” He’d probably understand her apprehension of Kane, right?

“They probably will.” She agreed, smiling at him before she glanced after the kids. “I’m definitely not going back in there so you’re on your own.”

Adam sighed a little bit, before looking over at Lacey. “Well right now I think they are occupied so I am okay with that.” He chuckled some. “Shall we go and see what they are up to?”

Lacey looked up at him, a little surprised because she wasn’t expecting it in the slightest. Though a smile soon spread over her face and she chuckled. “Really?” She nodded. “That sounds… amazing. Of course I’ll go out with you.”

Adam nodded his head. “Yes, really.” He couldn’t help but smile when he heard her answer. “Yeah? How does tomorrow night sound? After trick or treating. I’ve gotta take out the kids. Maybe we actually could go all together if you want.”

“So I was thinking that you and I should go out on an actual date.” Adam said this, as he moved over to her. “What do you say? Will you go out with me?” He questioned, smiling over at her.

She smiled lightly. At least it was only Adam and not someone who’d get upset about it but still. “Right? Am I really that bad?” Dakota joked, giving him a tiny nudge.

He smiled as well. Glad to see them, even though he wanted to see Lacey. “Seems like he’s wants to be with his uncle instead. Total more cooler then mom, huh?”

“You most certainly can.” Stella chuckled. Of course she wasn’t gonna pass that offer up.

“I’ll take a coffee right now. Definitely could use a wake up call right now.” 

“Got it. Coffee coming right up.” Adam flagged down the bartender. “Coffee for her and a refill for me.”

“If you promise it’ll be a double.” Sofie sighed, looking up from the straw she’d been playing with.

Lacey couldn’t imagine more than just Elena so God knows how they coped with all the kids, but they were cute so that made up for it or something. “I’ll bet.” She said, closing the door once they were all inside and fussing over Ellie for a moment before following in the direction of the kids. “You want anything to drink?” She peered into the room, Luke was involved with Elena’s colouring and James was trying to involve himself but he was still little. “James is getting big so fast.” She commented, turning her attention back to Adam. It felt better to not be by herself.

“Probably juice for the kids and me I’ll just take whatever you have.” It had been rough. Not just with Lucas and James but now they had Ellie to worry about as well. And truthfully it wasn’t the easiest thing but they managed. Luckily. Even though Adam had thought about getting a job. That would also put them in a bind though. Looking over at Lucas and Elena and James, he couldn’t help but smile. “That he is. I just hope he isn’t like Kane when he grows up.” His attention went back to Lacey. “Elena is getting big as well.”

“The worst.” She joked. Adam was nothing of the sort. She was getting pretty fond of little Ellie honestly, even if she was still super pissed at their so-called mother. “Alright, well have fun whatever you decide.” Dakota told him. “Stay out of trouble yourself, big bro.” She teased with a little chuckle as she moved to the door and grabbed her bag. “Call me if you need me, I’ll come right back!”

“Completely.” Adam agreed, with a small chuckle. He was doing his best to be there even for little Ellie. Sometimes he thought about going back on his meds but how the hell would that help? They needed like a full time nanny if Adam ever got a job. “Shots and drugs is what we are leaning towards. Huh, Ellie?” Adam couldn’t help but chuckle again. Moments like this was something he loved. “Always.” Trouble wasn’t something he got into often. “No. Go off and have fun. I’ve got this. So no calling. Hell stay out all night.”
