A cute truscum

Hello,

I’m Zu and I have a collection of dresses/crop tops/feminine shirts and pants that i need to get rid of but I have no idea what to do with them so, I figured I would sell them for decent prices to girls who might not have the easiest time with money, with going out and dealing with people, or any other restriction. *Most* of my dresses will be $20 or less (my bat mitzvah dress was especially expensive so it will probably be more). Shirts will probably be around $5-10. Shorts about $10 and pants about $15. Prices will vary based on the piece of clothing (material, current condition, and original price are factors). I will ask you to pay for shipping if you dont live close to metro Detroit and come get it irl or you dont mind waiting until July when I move to Chicago. I will post pictures, sizes, and measurements of each garment on my tumblr page by 11:59pm Eastern time (February 18th).

Don’t use the term truscum if you’re CIS.

Do not call others truscum if you’re CIS.

Do not label yourself truscum if you’re CIS.

It’s a trans topic between trans people. You can weigh in your opinion but do not use a name that transmedicalists are reclaiming for themselves as your shield. 

First of all, I am cis, and I’m a truscum, as I said above. I label myself as such, and I label others as such when their views of the topic align them as such. I’m fully aware of what truscum means, and what opinions are needed to be one. I’m fully aware of the stark difference between truscum and tucute. I am educated on this topic, so it’s not as if I’m some ignorant baby who is whining about unfair treatment of cis people. I am an educated person who is using proper terminology in a serious discussion, and there is nothing wrong with that. I’m not using it as a shield; Hell, I don’t even know for sure how I would use it as a shield. 

I never said that cis folk who use it have no voice in this or have no opinion. But you aren’t who the term was originally used against. I also never called you an ignorant baby so I’m not honestly sure as to why you’re taking such an offense to my own opinion? I’m glad you chose the resonable and polite response instead of the other option but it still seems you’ve read things in my post that weren’t there. Being cis doesn’t discredit you at all. If you believe in truscum ideaology, yas! Good! But I do know trans folk who aren’t comfortable being called truscum/scummy by cis people or by other people overall. I can stand behind them and so I made this post. 

My dysphoric feelings fluctuate bang on with my menstrual cycle, I dissociate into two personalities, I hate gender roles, I can’t really conceptualise gender outside transmedicalism and dysphoria contexts I get a deeply needed sense of community from identifying as trans, and LGBT things esp trans things are my aspergers special interest

It all points to me being cis

So for a few months now, I’v gone back and forth in believing and being against genders that are not male or female. When I’m believing, I believe in male, female, agender, bigender (male and female), and sort of genderfluid. Then when I’m unsupportive, I know only male and female exist. 

I’m so stuck on this. My girlfriend says she’s genderfluid and so I can’t even talk with this about her without her getting hurt. I have brought it up before and she compares me not supporting her being genderfluid to her not supporting me being a binary trans male. I see what she’s saying, but…. ugh I feel like she’s confusing gender expression with gender. She says she has gender dysphoria when she’s male or agender and I just don’t think it’s true. I don’t think she’s lying to me, but I think she’s confused and not sure what exactly gender is in this case. 

Anyways. 

I guess I’m asking whoever wants to, to respond to this. I want some opinions and/or facts/sources supporting or disproving agender, bigender, and genderfluid. If you prefer to focus on one of these, that’s fine, I just want some feedback. I’m leaning towards not believing in this bullshit, but I’m still open to hearing what other’s have to say about it. 

I’m going to @ a few people who’s opinions I would very much like to hear. You don’t have to respond, but it would be much appreciated. :)

First, I believe in non-binary identities but only in cases with dysphoria. There are many non-binary people who do want to change their body with surgery and with hormones to match the sex that they feel they are. Agender/Bigender in particular are very cut and dry when you think that one is just ‘without’ and the other is ‘both’. So they’re just on other ends of the binary, outside of male/female. 

I also believe that many gender fluid folk can be dealing with dysphoria/gender identity and are confused over it because it’s such a hard thing to deal with. Especially because dysphoria can fluctuate and can change based on many factors around themselves and inside of themselves. 

May I ask why you believe your partner is only gender-nonconforming? If they’re only basing this on the clothes they wear/how they look than yes, I’d agree. But sometimes it really can just be state of not being sure or having fluctuating dysphoria. I guess I’m a bit confused as to when you described their dysphoria being worst? If they’re cis female and they’re dysphoric as a male/agender identity?

Saying the truscum/transmedicalist community doesn’t believe in or erases non-binary identities isn’t very nice to the truscum who are non-binary. There’s a large amount and we’re all very vocal.
