what do you do when you have a sub that doesn't have crippling self-confidence issues?

when you have a sub that knows how to stand up for itself and express itself and make its voice heard? when you have a sub who will compliment itself without hesitation, and won't break down into a blushy mess at simple praise? what if you have a sub who is self-assured enough that they know what they're worth?

what are you going to do with a sub who you can't manipulate with that praise? how are you going to motivate and show them affection?

do you know that subs don't come in one flavour? what are you going to do if you find one you want that you can't just praise-bomb into giving you their submission?

One of my biggest fears as a domme is accidentally hurting someone by going too far (hasn't happened yet but I still worry), so when a sub is less confident I need to check in more, "are you sure you want this?" "promise you'll tell me if anything feels wrong" "don't do things you dislike for my sake, that's not what I want" etc. etc.

And I'll do it, because subs with low self-esteem still deserve to be cherished and cared for, but fuck, sometimes it's such a relief to play with someone who doesn't make me worry so much because I know they'll tell me when to stop.
