Is there anything about the characters in your comic that you can talk about that won’t spoil anything :)?
I’ve been morbidly curious about how they made their band names for a while now ..

i havent actually thought about my guys for a bit bc ive been developing another comic for the time being so sadly theyre currently on the back burner... but i still want to finish their comic someday!! ill give you some details and fun facts about them all!

OKAY! here's some stuff i can reveal about it:
Penske Chronicles is planned as a 6 issue comic. each issue passes the baton of who's perspective it is told from (minus issue 2, which was originally supposed to be apart of issue 1 until it had to be split apart! so that also focuses from trenton's perspective.) there's a lot i wanna do with the story, especially since it's inspired about my thoughts on bandom and band culture as a whole (the good, the bad, the ugly).
i don't wanna spoil too much so here's some non-spoilery stuff i can tell you! I'll start with Better Late Than Naked/BLTN:
Penske, Tim, and Babe were all high school friends, and had originally played music together for fun before eventually taking a break to all go off to college.
Penske and Tim share the same first name, and when they first met, Tim decided to called his new friend by his last named instead. Thus he was forever known as Penske.
Yes, Penske's name is based off the truck rental company (which I recently learned is unfortunately probably not a great company, yikes! It's okay because that name is mine now! Suck it truck rental company!)
Penske, Tim, and Babe got their fourth member of their band, Kennedy, when Babe became college room mates with him and lumped him into the group.
Tim was the one that named them Better Late Than Naked. He's the de facto leader of the group, and all his friends kinda just go along with his ideas because he always manages to steer a crowd with his humor, somehow.
Out of the whole band, Penske and Babe are actually the closest! They consider each other best friends, and they're pretty protective of each other.
Penske really likes The Jetsons.
Alright that's all I can think of off the top of my head for them, so let's move to Mark4Death:
Trenton's name is based off Trenton, NJ.
Side note, Penske Chronicles (at least the first 3 issues) are all based in New England! The venue they play at is actually based off a real place too!
Trenton's band is made up of him, Jackson, Lyle, Todd, and Bryce. Some of these members are... not the best people, I'll let you guess who!
Trenton and Jackson were childhood friends and are basically siblings with how much time they've been around one another.
Lyle was a quiet kid Trenton and Jackson both knew in high school, but didn't really talk to a ton. They later got to know him better when they frequented the local hardcore scene together.
Although they're best friends, Trenton got into the hardcore scene first when he became friends with Todd and Bryce. They're both older/have had more experience in the scene, which led them to taking Trenton under their wing.
Bryce and Trenton agreed that they needed a 'cool name' in order for the scene to take them seriously.
Lyle might be the most competent musician out of either band.
Mark4Death is a well known, well liked band within the scene they're in. Their music is pretty good, but the main reason why is because of just how many people they all collectively know. They manage to all be competent enough to consistently snag gigs in their area!
Aaaaand that's all I got for now! Thank you for taking such an interest in my comic! I hope this suffices for now, I really hope to make more of the comic one day... but since I'm very busy right now, AND I have a webcomic I've been developing... it might be awhile :[ hopefully one day I can open a Patreon or something to make enough money to make it on my own!
