hi anon! i'd say your opinion is absolutely valid & in fact i feel that way too sometimes

but here's something to keep in mind: it's not real. on social media, we're able to pick and choose what parts of our lives other people are able to see. think about what you see when you go on instagram: it's all filtered and edited and staged photos that capture only the happy moments in people's lives. if you compare your life and your appearance to what you see on instagram, yeah you're going to feel inferior, because you're comparing yourself to someone else's highlight reel and you're not seeing the ugly parts. same goes for studyblr: it's performative, maybe to a lesser extent, but you still are comparing yourself to someone's online persona. you don't see study blogs talking about their failures nearly as often as they occur. (i know this topic has already been talked to death and i'm sorry for bringing it up once more lmao)

i'm also not really feeling this blog anymore, it's kinda turned into a soulless aesthetic blog and that's not what i made it for!! i had to quickly fill up my queue earlier this month so i threw a bunch of "studyspo" reblogs on there but i'm honestly not really into it so i'm trying to find more non-aesthetic studyblrs to follow so i can post content that's i dunno..... actually useful and helpful? 👀👀👀👀👀

also would anyone be interested in a post detailing my setup for the academic bujo i was brainstorming here? i'm not sure how useful it would be to anyone.....
