i might sometimes reblog other things but in general this is a mphfpc account. i really really really love miss peregrines home for peculiar children. it's been my special interest since i was around eleven. it repossessed my frontal lobe and plagued my every waking thought during my most formative years so i am very very obsessed with it and basically my entire personality is based on it

things i do not like people who have mphfpc fan accounts who have not read all (8) of the books. i am not trying to be gatekeepy - if you hmu i can give you free pdfs for any of the books if that is your issue - it just gives me a headache talking to people who do not understand what they're saying. god bless.

idk if anyone else has ever noticed this but i did a little while ago and its interesting to me so im gunna post about it. it is that the gimmick of the pictures in the first book is that they're all found photographs and they come up in correlation with the narrative but they are not from that exact moment in time and then after the first book they are for the most part ostensibly just illustrations of the current events. i think the best way to prove my point is by comparing the different pictures of horace. in the first book you have the classic picture that everyone uses of him looking very tiny and three apples tall and gay, which was obviously taken a while ago and put into storage and jacob finds it, and then later on you have the picture of him having nightmares, which is what is happening in the current timeline but is explained as 'this has happened often enough there is photographs of it happening in the past' and that is the picture you see in the book. but the picture of horace in hollow city is him catching the pigeon which is happening right then at that moment. and thats just an example obviously
