Maybe he don’t care

So I come here as a diary. My parents have been acting really strange lately. So I’ll explain. My parents (with me) wasn’t the super “I love you” type Ight. I grew up on tough love. I played sports all my life and my parents were ALWAYS super strict with it. Like I remember one time my dad damn near beat my ass cause I didn’t have a good game. It was always sum. If I wasn’t good enough in sports then it was school. If I made a bad grade that was hell too. I was constantly chastised for not being the “best” but I was just a kid and I was so confused from everything cause I was stressed bout school, sports, and my very small social life. My dad would make me miss hanging out with my friends to practice all the time. I missed out on football games, homecoming games, and lil functions just to sit in the yard and cry and be exhausted. It was like I was a robot trained to their liking. After I got to college on a track scholarship, it’s like everything changed. It was a lot of hugs and kisses and “ I love you” and “I miss you”. I am not used to that’s at all. Like this Mother’s Day weekend they have been so nice and I’m just not used to it. Cause sometimes I wonder if they only act like that because I’ve succeeded their training. Did I become the girl they trained me to be. Like I know my parents love me don’t get me wrong, however this affection is something new and I just am not quite sure how to take it all 😔
