Sooo yeah, feel free to message me or anything welcome! I'm trying to get out of the "art side blog is ONLY for art and NOTHING else" rut so I'll be posting other random stuff as well so far most of the art on here is either haikyuu or rottmnt and everything is tagged have fun:b

10. How do I deal with artblock:

I used to get artblock all the time and it was awful. You want to draw something or you have a great idea and you just can't get yourself to draw it, or it doesn't come out the way you want or something like that.

I got artblock because I tended to draw a whole lot in a few weeks, like everyday all day because I had so many ideas, but then I would get burned out for a long time after that because I worked my brain so hard.

So the is year ive been doing my best to manage my time well and not overwork myself. And its been working!

To get out of artblock back then I would just not draw at all. Id take a break from it until i got the inspiration to draw again. Which, yeah, does work and sometimes you need to take a break, but the majority of the time you just need to get your brain out of the gutter somehow.

Most of the time (for me at least) artblock means ive been working myself to hard, I haven't been taking care of myself mentally or physically so it was my brain trying to tell me to stop and actually make sure I was healthy. And during the times where I wasn't drawing I was really depressed and anxious bc I had trained my brain that drawing is how you express all the emotions. Which it can be useful for but not for every single emotion ever ya know. You need to actually talk to people lol

So once I figured that out, when I started getting artblock, I knew I wasn't doing something right. I wasn't taking care of myself properly. So to get back into art again I just took care of myself. I took more showers, I ate healthier, drank more water and then I could draw again!

And during the time where I focus on taking care of myself, I just draw little things. No big projects or anything. Just a dog or a dragon here or there, something to keep my hand moving, to keep that muscle memory, nothing hard enough to really challenge my brain, cause my brain is already tired. Then eventually you can get back into bigger drawings and more ideas and what not.

I manage my time alot better now, like having an hour each day to draw then taking a break, writing down ideas instead of instantly trying to draw a big ol thing.

Random thing I decided to do as an experiment, heres all the random facts about them that I've written down so far :3 feel free to suggest more ideas for them or how to make em more realistic

Kelpies are generally very docile creatures who live in deep bodies of water, generally lakes and ocean coasts. They are very territorial but only will attack if they feel threatened or are hungry, other than that they are peaceful.

They are obligate carnivores who usually eat fish, however they have been known to eat other meat such as deer and occasionally humans.They breath air but can hold their breaths for up to 24 hours. Their noses and ears close up while underwater, much like a seal or otter.

They are hairless semi-aquatic mammals, their characteristic color change is due to a type of algea that tends to grow in their body's. The algea has a reaction where it turns nearly clear when exposed to open air, and back to a bright green in water.The algea needs a moving home to be able to thrive, to living on the skin of a near constantly moving animal is very good. The algea also protects the kelpies sensitive skin from sunlight.

Kelpies look much like a domestic horse, although they have predatory eyes, more muscular legs, a leaner body and a seal-like head with two fins that resemble ears.

Kelpies have been domesticated and are very commonly used for underwater jobs and deep sea hunting. As long as they are well fed and trained properly they are very good work animals.

I haven't really thought to much about the evolution yet but I like the idea of them evolving from water deer or some ancestor or water deer. Because the look at bit like mini horses, have split hooves and sre basiclly designed to swim in water.
