Neagender: An identity that feels like (or is) the void, but with a vague connection to another gendered component(s).

Neagender is not aligned with any particular gender(s), instead feeling as though they have a vague and/or unexplainable connection that’s part of the void itself, and can’t be separated from it. It may also feel like an inherent “mix” of the two components to the point where they couldn’t be separated into individual pieces.

The “void” may refer to nothingness, voids themselves, a lack of gender (similar to gendervoid), huge expanses such as outer space, or other examples. In terms of one’s gendered components, it can be just about anything, such as man, woman, or something else. Neagender is under kenochoric.

The prefix for neagender sublabels is nea-, and may be attached to just about anything. Neagender has sometimes been described as feeling your gender identity is a void in the “shape” of something else. For instance, someone who is neaman may feel as though they are a “man-shaped void.” This is not a universal experience, though.

The flag stripes are meant to represent voids (black), ambiguity (blue), personal identity (light purple), and a vague connection (dark purple). The term comes from the word neamhní, an Irish word for “void.”
