In spite of universal probability, our paths have crossed and our souls have acquainted. Hello, my starlet, and welcome to my page. Whether you find yourself fascinated by the natural world, spontaneous literature, Pokémon, or simply stumbled here because of the algorithm, all kindred spirits are welcome here.

I very much enjoy writing abstract or thematic pieces inspired by celestial or moody elements. I'm also an incredibly avid fan of Pokémon, my dearly beloved favorite being Absol. If you're looking for a place to escape the mundane and enter a quiet dreamscape, I truly hope my writing will be a comfortable haven.

What I'll Write

I'm quite comfortable writing anything. I plan to use this blog as a sort of collection of all my writings. What you will find most regularly here are poetry, inspired works, moodboard posts, the occasional short story, and maybe some quotes sprinkled here and there if I feel particularly wise and scholarly.

If there's anything you'd like me to try my hand at, my requests are open. I don't plan to ever close them, though fulfilling them may take time. I'll try my best to make my page a beautiful space for many people to enjoy.

Nighttime in Alola was always beautifully serene: the gentle whispers as the tide pulls in and out, Lunala's blessed moonlight streaming through the windows, the peaceful slumber that people and Pokémon are cloaked in.

It's 02:00, and the Pokémon Research Lab is quiet, the silence broken only by the hum of electric appliances and the faint bubbling from the aquarium. Even Rockruff had finally settled down to rest for the night. But the Professor lay awake, staring silently out the window and thinking about everything that needed to be done.

The quiet was usually Kukui's signal to relax and take a break. But now it felt suffocating, like something was missing. His bed didn't feel quite right, slightly stiff under his body. The air was cool and still — like the room was holding its breath — and the Professor decided that perhaps some fresh Alolan air would help settle him down. He quietly left his bed, careful not to disturb Burnet or rile up Rockruff.

Kukui stepped outside onto the sandy beachfront, smelling the salty breeze from the Melemele Sea. The distant cries of the Wingull and the soft rustle of the tall grass in in the wind were a welcome break from the monotony. Alola's nature was rich in liveliness and diversity.

As a researcher, Professor Kukui was naturally aware of all the most beautiful and biodiverse places in Alola. Of course, one of the perfect places to go Pokémon watching was Akala Island's Lush Jungle. Nothing could quite beat the feeling of sitting down in the midst of the forest and relaxing to the ambience.

The ride service Charizard dropped him off just at the clearing. Walking at a ginger pace, Kukui travelled the dirt path, occasionally interrupted by a wandering Fomantis chirping to another just across the way.

There was no place in Alola quite like the Lush Jungle. Nothing could beat the feeling of sitting on the cool, mossy ground, listening to the pattering of tiny Pokémon feet, hearing the soft chimes of wild Comfey, and smelling the soothing aroma wafting from the Bounsweet.

For a moment, the world seemed to drift away from Kukui's mind. No more obsessing over Z-moves, no worrying about training for his matches as the Masked Royal. For now, the Professor had a moment to slow down and just enjoy the feeling of living among the beautiful life around him.

He stayed for a while, nearly drifting off to sleep right in the middle of the path.

Burnet would love this, he thought.

That's right. Burnet. His beautiful wife, such a caring and intelligent woman. He was so lucky to have her by his side. What a wonderful life it was, to have a loving wife and be surrounded by as much nature and wildlife as a person could want.

Going home didn't seem too bad now. He could lay in bed with his love, falling asleep with the promise of a hot, fresh-cooked breakfast and playing fetch on the beach with Rockruff. The simple things in life that he begun to take for granted.

And when he eventually wandered through the front door, the time was 03:45. Kukui shut the door softly, making as little noise as possible to not wake Lillie up in the loft. He headed to his room, Burnet still peacefully asleep and Rockruff curled up on his bed.

With a tender kiss on the forehead, he pulled Burnet a little closer under the blanket, making sure to enjoy the warmth of her body and her beautiful face at rest. He drifted off to sleep quickly, thinking to himself:

And the creeping edge of a love estranged

Nostalgia is the universe's way of reminding you of what you've lost and what you've gotten to experience. Looking back on moments turned to memories faded and dusty in an old album, you come to realize that time is fleeting, and the present is a comfort you can only enjoy while it lasts. You never quite seem to realize how quickly everything flashes before your eyes.

You begin to change. Your body grows and your mind begins to grow more curious and rebellious. You hardly realize that your lunchtime conversations, the notes passed in class, the faces you see every day, would all shape the person you become. The drama and gossip, the tears shed over lost friendships and beginning to see flaws in the mirror. You'll never truly forget, but you'll move on. And in the blink of an eye, the first major transition is over.

Chasing fireflies in the backyard, listening to the lullaby of crickets as you sleep, the innocent wonder of children taking their curious steps into the world. The friends you make at the park, laughing and playing games, but being acutely aware that soon you will have to go home and never meet again. A schoolyard crush that moves away, leaving you wondering what else you'll have to admire in a person.

The feeling of graduating elementary school, the realization that there's no more recess, no more nap time, and you're left with the reality that you're growing up faster than you thought.

You're a big kid now. But teenage years are a constant shift between being too innocent and being too mature. You're only a kid, you can't fully have your independence. But you're old enough to decide your future, to start planning and thinking ahead. The past goes largely forgotten in favor of a focus on your future. College, career paths, finding your life's purpose. Will the people around you really matter in 4 years' time? Every moment feels like it's under scrutiny, trying to know in the moment if these will be fond memories or hard lessons to learn. You won't always know. There's a lot of things you won't know.

And then, just as quickly as it began, it's over. You've finished school. You're now considered an adult, feeling suddenly thrown off the deep end of life. You spent the last 4 years planning, researching, figuring out what the right next steps are. But now there's doubt. You're not ready. What if you chose everything wrong? What if you fail, what if you become a bad person?

It feels better to look back on your memories. Scrolling through old messages, the refusal to clean out the hundreds of junk selfies and random screenshots in your gallery. You can see yourself growing up as you scroll through the years. You never realized how much you've grown up until you look back.

You remember every lesson you learned, every laugh shared with friends, every time you cried over someone, those exams you thought you'd never get through. Everything feels simpler through the lens of your memory. But that's all that these moments are now. You'll never cross paths with most of these people again. Friendships will begin to fade. The normalcy of calling every day after school and sending videos reminding you of each other will be replaced by a busy schedule and silence broken only by "Happy Birthday" and liked messages.
