Hear me out for a second:

I think Clary and Jace are married.

Jace and Clary run the New York Institute together, and as far as I know if two people are running an Institute they’re usually married. (Take Charlotte and Henry, for example.) Also, I feel like Simon wouldn’t be the first out of their friend group to tie the knot, and Malec has their reasons for not getting married yet (see the Shadowhunter Academy books). But, still don’t believe it? Check chapter six of Lady Midnight:

“I remember [Helen’s] wedding,” Magnus said, and there was gentleness in his eyes. “How young you both were. Though it wasn’t the last wedding I saw you at, was it?”

Emma and Julian exchanged puzzled glances. “I’m pretty sure it was,” said Julian. “What other wedding would it have been?”

“Hm,” said Magnus. “Perhaps my memory is going in my old age.” He didn’t sound as if he thought that was likely, though.
