His pout softened, forming a faint smile as she made contact. “I’m Mylo, it’s nice to meet you.” Ches offered his right hand for a shake.

@stuffadorklikes  Adam narrowed his eyes at the sourceless shadow shifting on the living room wall. “Long time no see.” 

A low growl emitted from the shadow. “So you do remember me.” His tone suddenly turned sweet. “What, you miss me after all this time?”

“You have a very memorable face.” Adam turned away, making sure the couch was clear before he slumped down. “Sure, what would I do without you to chain me up?” 

“I see your snark hasn’t left you… And which face are you referring to? My beast form…” The man finally stepped out of the shadow. “Or this one?”

The corners of his lips dropped in a show disgust,“jeez, I think I prefer the beast’s face.”

“Thank you,” Ches closed his eyes shortly, “I’ll have to work on my memory if I’m going to get an important job.” 

Tilting her head slightly, Treble stared at him. “Oh? Do you have issues with your memory?” She asked.

“Nothing serious, I just forget my glasses all the time.” He leaned back into the seat. 

Treble came to the realisation of her mistake. “Oh, I’m sorry– I was supposed to read you the menu!” She scooped it up with a nervous smile. “Apologies.”

“Oh! It’s not a problem,” he grinned sweetly, “I’ve enjoyed speaking to you.” 

“Thank you,” Ches closed his eyes shortly, “I’ll have to work on my memory if I’m going to get an important job.” 

Tilting her head slightly, Treble stared at him. “Oh? Do you have issues with your memory?” She asked.

“Nothing serious, I just forget my glasses all the time.” He leaned back into the seat. 

“Ohhh,” Ches cooed, simpering slightly. “That sounds like a stressful job, do you think you could handle it?” 

Smirking, Treble cooed right back. “Just because it is stressful, doesn’t mean I can’t handle it. Stress is something I deal with often.”

He nodded to her, his smile growing wider. “I’m sure you’ll manage. You seem like a bright person.” 

Hearing her lie only made Ches feel more smug, so much so that he felt it was safest to fiddle with a napkin before a smirk showed itself. “Do you know what job you wanna do with that?” 

She was delighted that someone was asking about her for once, and not the other way around. Yet, she always knew that harmless questions could be disastrous. “I’ve no idea. Perhaps some sort of profession as a congresswoman would be interesting.”

“Congress..” he echoed in a thoughtful voice. “You know, I’ve never even thought of that job. I don’t really know what they do.”

“Yeah, I hope CGI doesn’t kill my job opportunities.” Ches leaned against his hand. He thought a government spy would be far more difficult to entice into conversation. He felt slightly smug about his success; she hadn’t even read him the menu yet.

Treble was completely oblivious. Off-job, what did she have to worry about? She could be a ditz and no one would care. “Maybe, both CGI and makeup could go hand in hand. I’m certain that you still have a lot of opportunities, right?”

“I think so. They like to use make-up for close-ups if nothing else.” Ches paused briefly with a smile. “What about you? What do you do for a living?” 

Ches hummed softly with thought, bobbing his head. “Maybe when I finish studying. I don’t think I could afford it now.” He raised his brows in surprise before closing his eyes with delight. “Thank you, they do seem to get me a lot of attention.”

Treble raised her own brow. “Oh? You study?” She rested her head on her hand, settling down to listen. This Mylo man was interesting. “They’re brilliant.”

“I do. I flew here to study prosthetics and movie make-up.” Ches glanced around at a few newcomers, distracted by their movements. He then offered another smile for her compliment, unable to force a blush to enforce his false fluster.
