The new chapter of The Waves is up and running & with more to come! 🩵

I have a few things to align with everyone regarding The Waves! First, I'm trying to make a commitment to finish the story by Nov. 22nd - in time for Sunrise on the Reaping. I also think (emphasis on think) that I've a general idea of the size of the story - I'm aiming for 70 chapters, but it can be a little less or a little more. I'm putting any other projects on hold - including Believe in the Chorus, another Odesta story I'm very excited to write. I won't be posting any chapters of the Chorus so I can try my best to reach the Nov. deadline.

After I'm finished I'll dedicate a little time to edit the monster The Waves' became. I'm putting too much pressure in getting things edited now, and it's getting my writing nowhere, so I'm officially giving up until the story is posted to go back to the beginning and edit everything.

This is also a post to thank everyone who has been reading this story, leaving a comment and keeping up with my many up & downs. The Waves has been going for more than two years now, and I couldn't be more grateful for becoming a little corner where I can downpour my love for these characters.

Thinking about canon breaks my heart every time.

Before the rebellion, I think they had a quiet, very private, soft life. Every ounce of love was only theirs; every tender moment was shared between four walls; their story was so secretive I think maybe only Mags knew about the extension of it - and, of course, the Capitol. I really think we should keep it that way. I love the idea of getting a book about D4, about Finnick and Annie, but I also am a big defender of letting their story being only theirs. After having everything ripped apart and sold for entertainment, they deserve that.
