Just as i was about to beat the boss there was a knock at my door

"Ugh, what now?!" i asked, right as Jon swung opened the door

"Dad want's us downstairs" he told me

'It's way too late for another meeting' i thought

"really? right now?" i asked looking at the time

"Yes it's important" Jon replied 

I paused my game and tossed the laptop on my bed and followed Jon downstairs, this better be worth my time.

"Morgan Edge is your brother?" Mom asked Dad

"There's no way, right?" Jon asked

"Your joking right?" i asked

'Can we just have one day that's normal? is that too much to ask?' i thought "He knew things about Krypton, no one could possibly know he spoke the language He had Kryptonian powers" 

Dad sighed as he pinched his forehead "I..." he paused and sighed "I don't know" "What does he want?" Jordan asked  "Kryptonians..here And for me to join him" Dad answered  "That's why he's putting Kryptonian consciousness into people" Mom said   "He wants Earth to become the next Krypton" Jordan said "I don't get it though why did he think that you'd join him?" Jon asked Dad "Because he can bring my Kryptonian mother back Our people" Dad answered  "Clark, before you go down the rabbit's hole here, don't you think you should find out if this is even actually true?" Mom said "I'm not gonna leave after Edge just sent someone to kill you and Jonathan" Dad told Mom "Babe, half the DOD's on our front lawn" Mom pointed out "They are moving into town. Edge is not coming here" Mom added "Go, we'll call you if we need you" she told Dad

Then Dad ran off to the fortress and me and the twins headed to the living room

"Is it even possible for us to have a normal day? or even a week?" i asked before getting up and heading to the kitchen to get a snack

"How come every time it seems like things are gonna get better, something happens, and it's all just crazier than before?" Jordan asked 

"We aren't even...fully human..its always going to be crazy" i said

"You okay?" Jordan asked Jon "Dude, I saw footage of what happened to Dad on John Henry's planet" Jon said "He killed Mom" he added

"He what?" i whispered "I mean, or her doppelganger or whatever" he explained  "So?" Jordan asked  "So what if the Edge from that planet is also that Superman's brother? What if he brought back their mom, and then he gave him a Kryptonian family, and that's why he turned on humanity?" Jon explained 

"What if that's what happened there...And it's happening here too?" he added "It wouldn't change anything" Mom said Look, all I'm saying is going your whole life thinking that you're the only one left in your family, and then finding out that you had a brother that you never knew about and that you could see your mom?" Jon went on "That would affect anyone" he added "Yeah, it would But the difference between Edge and your dad is that he has family: The four of us, right here" Mom said

"We're his family and no matter what happens, we always will be" Mom added

Then Grandpa came in

"We found Kyle Cushing" he said "Where?" mom asked angerly

Turns out he was at his house and Mom stormed off to Lana's. Later on she had him arrested by the DOD

By morning the DOD was set up in town studying Kyle and what happened last night, Lana even came over to talk with Mom and Dad while the twins were out with Sarah.

I ended up sleeping in since we were up so late last night. I got out of my messy bed and headed downstairs, running in and out of the kitchen as fast as my super speed could carry me. I made a bowl of cereal then ran back to my room.

I was peacefully eating on the floor of room enjoying the quite and calm morning contrast to yesterday, just looking out the window and zoning out

When i was finished i ran down stairs to quickly wash bowl and spoon and run back to my room. But by the time i was just getting on my laptop finding something to do Mom was my door. I sighed as came in

"y/n i need you to get dressed, me and your dad need to meet with the DOD" she said

"There goes doing nothing all day..." i wispered

"Fine" i said, getting up from my spot and going through my closet 

"we'll leave in 20" Mom said before leaving

After grabbing a sweater and bottoms from my closet and a top from my dresser i was ready. I grabbed my bag and met with Mom downstairs

"you ready?" she asked

"yeah"

"How long will this take?" i asked

"Not sure, might be all day, a few hours but if you want you can go be with your brothers" Mom answered

"there's nothing i want more than to just have a normal day where we do nothing" i told here before following her to the car.

We followed Lana's car until we got to the diner area of town

"All this for Morgan Edge"

"It's gonna get a whole lot worse if we don't stop him"

"He's here" Lana said  gazing at dad in his superman costume "Everything okay?" Mom asked Lana "Oh, I know you're used to all this, but it's a little surreal to see Superman in real life I'm just so used to watching him on TV" Lana explained  "why even is superman here?" i asked Mom

"i thought this was just your reporter stuff" i whispered to Mom

She shock her head then turned to Lana

"Yeah, it can be a little weird Come on Follow me" Mom told her

I walked off a head of the two and stood a few short feet from Dad "Is there any way to communicate with the consciousness inside the Eradicator?" Dad asked "The Kryptonian minds inside aren't actually alive Once a consciousness is chosen, they need a host in order to become activated" "So the only way this works is to place the consciousness of Lara Lor-Van into someone from Smallville?" "That's my understanding" "Get this machine ready" Grandpa ordered "This doesn't feel right" Dad said "We don't have any other choice" Mom stated

"And we're running out of time" Grandpa told Dad

"We need to find a volunteer fast" Grandpa added

"I'll do it" Lana spoke up raising her hand "Uh, I'm sorry, but that's not possible" superman shot down "Why not? I'm from Smallville, makes me the ideal candidate, you don't have to look for anyone" Lana opposed  "She does have a point" Grandpa said "Dad"  "Can everyone just please give us a moment alone?" Mom said taking Lana off to the side as military me walked off

"If you wont let Lana can i do it? i'm bored" I asked dad, who looked at me like i was crazy

"No!" Grandpa said

"Absolutelynot" Dad said agreeing with Grandpa

"Are you crazy?" he asked me with a mix of concern and confusion, he then grabbed my hand and took me to the front of the tent, Then he leaned down and inched closer

"I know you want to help but this is insane, im sorry" he whispered 

"but is there anything i can do?" i asked

"No, you time to be supergirl is far from here" 

"but there is nothing to do" i whined 

"I know, i know but either you can stay here with your mom and i and go on your phone, or go find your brothers and be with them" he told me

"Fine, ill go look for them" i said turning around and walking out of the tent

When i got out i heard the twin's and went to follow the noise

"You're not authorized to go in"

"This is his daughter How much authorization do you need?" Jordan asked "We've been through this already I need you to vacate the premises" "Or what? What are you gonna do? Are you gonna shoot us?" Jon asked "Guys, maybe we should just try again later" Sarah said

"No, we are going in whether GI Jerk-nuts here wants us to or not"  Jon said inching towards the guard

"Whats going on?" i asked

Then grandpa got there on the opposite side of the group 

"This jerk-" Jon was cut off before he got to explain "The hell's going on here?" He asked in anger "I'm in the middle of a national emergency, only to get word my own grandsons are down here causing problems" he added "We're just trying to get in so she can see her dad" Jordan explained

"Not an option" Grandpa shot down

"We already told her what happened to him, okay? She deserves to see it for herself" Jon said

Then Grandpa took Jon off to the side and started whispering to each other

Sarah looked down, then turned towards Jordan all defeated

"Can we just try again later?" Sarah asked Jordan

"If you want but," Jordan said

"Im sure Jon can convince him to let you in" i reassured Sarah 

"If we can get you in, im sure your dad would want to see you" Jordan said

"we will get you in there at some point" he added

"let them in" Grandpa said

"See?" i said

Sarah quickly went in first then Jordan followed, and i went into the tent along side Jon

"Dad?" Sarah called out, Kyle was sitting down spaced out staring at a wall in that clear greenish box. "I don't get it You said that there'd be some kind of..." as she turned to Jon asking him about Kyle, he jumped right up as Sarah's words snapped him out of a trance  "You." Kyle said looking at Jon, who twitched "You think your little toys can stop us?" Kyle yelled punching the glass

The four of us took a step back "Dad." Sarah called out "Dad? Oh, Daddy doesn't exist anymore" Kyle said "He's a screaming corpse" Kyle added

"Ashes on the pyre" he laughed off, at the point Sarah was frozen, as if she was staring at a monster or a killer

"Hey, Sarah, let's just" Jordan said putting his arm on her shoulder 

"Let's just get out of here" he said escorting her out, putting his arms around her

"Hey, hey, hey, come on, come on, come on"

As me and Jon were about to leave Kyle threatened him

"Hey When I get out of here, I'm gonna kill you first" Kyle said to Jon, his eyes locked onto him, Jon's breathing escalated as he just stood there

"And ill kill you too" he said turning to me

I was so nervous all i could do was smile painfully and yell back

"Oh please, i doubt that!" i laughed off painfully

Kyle than hit the glass one more time, it made Jon jump and grab my arm

"You think i'm joking?! Oh i will!" he said

Then as Jon was dragging me out of the tent i yelled back

"I'd like to see you try!"

'What did i just say?!' i thought

As we were walking to catch up with Jordan and Sarah Jon asked me

"What is wrong with you? you cant taunt a guy like him" he said

"Calm down its not like DOD-"

"or dad" i whispered by the time the other two were just outside of ear shot

"wouldn't let that happen" i said

"He tried to kill me and Mom he is not joking around" Jon argued 

"Just calm down, we all know Dad is superman, he got to the barn in time before he got the chance to last time"

"besides you got me" i said pointing towards me

"What?" Jon asked, looking at me as if i was crazy

"im not letting you be my body guard" 

"Why not? i have dads best abilities, super speed, heat vision and super strength"

"just because Dad taught you how to fight doesn't mean you are an expert" he argued

"Plus Kyle is almost two times your size but with dad, at least he has the hearing, i don't want to have a little girl hang out with me all day in case something happens" Jon added, his words stinging

"but-" i said as i felt my face heating up his words hitting me like a wall of bricks, i sighed blinking away

"If that's how you feel" i said wiping my eyes as i caught up to Jordan and Sarah

By the time we all got back to the diner Sarah was sitting by herself in the back in a booth

while i was on my phone and looking at the menu, The twins were talking to themselves about Sarah and Kyle, Then Jordan took two drinks and headed towards Sarah's table. Then Jon sat down beside me.

For a moment there was silence, i didn't feel like i could say anything but i couldn't say the same for Jon.

"Hey..im-" he spoke up

"You know what? im gonna go see whatever Mom and Dad are doing, then report back if i can get any new info" i said standing up and putting my phone into my bag. I turned toward's Jordan and Sarah and told them the same thing.

"Okay" Jordan said nodding

"Thanks" Sarah said

I turned around and speed walked out and by the time i was out of the dinner i ran over back to The big tan tent.

I managed to overhear the conversation between Mom, Dad, Grandpa and Lana who's had Dad's Kryptonian mom mind take over.

Something about taking the Kryptonian minds out of the bodies and using something powerful like the sun to switch everyone back. 

Then i texted Jordan:

 y/n: From what ive gathered they are trying to take the Kryptonian's minds or wtvr out of everyone some scanner, but to get it out of everyone fast they need something as powerful as the sun???

y/n: idk but they are working on like really fast

y/n: also dad flew off to buy everyone some time sooo thats all the info i have for now

By the sunset rolled around i was sitting by myself back at the diner, a bunch of random people all throughout the area starting running away or jumping into the sky.

"Somethings going on" Jordan said

I jumped up from my spot and followed the twins and Sarah. We all stared at the sky looking at the madness around in silence

"Is this a good thing is this a bad thing What's going on?" i asked as the area cleared out and the streets were filled with people. 

As it got darker i ran over to Mom, right before Dad and the others came flying back

"Whats going on?" i asked tightly side hugging her

"Your dad's creating the massive power to fix everyone" she told me holding onto me

"Boys, boys! Please come now!" she yelled for the twins as military men got others to take cover

"Boys! right now!" she yelled again

Finally the two made it over to me and Mom as she had the three of us shielded behind her

There was a huge blue bright explosion in the sky, everyone shielded their eye's and leaned onto the ground. For two seconds i couldn't see anything, but then when I looked up there was nothing.

All the people who had the minds of Kryptonian's in them were back on the ground but Dad was nowhere to be seen.

Mom ran back over to Lana in the tent while Grandpa came over to me and the twins.

Mom regrouped with us after checking in on Lana, as we walked down the street

"Sir, no sign of Morgan Edge" "Search the globe until you find him" "There's no sign of Dad either" Jon said "Where is he?" Jordan asked Mom

However, at Abbott since a lot of the staff was out due to the strike i'd assume i had a lot on my plate.

Instead of going to the teachers lounge and sitting there with the other's until the bell i had to go to the Gym and help with lunch. 

I threw on a painted apron and stuffed my y/h/l into the white hairnet. While Gregory was handing out the tray's i was putting together. Each one had a fruit, apple or orange, some carrot sticks, a muffin and nuggets.

"Damn. Who gave you a promotion?" Ava said to Gregory 

"Shanae texted, said she couldn't make it, and all the Ubers are backed up" Gregory explained

"so me and y/n a filling in" he added gesturing to me  "Now, who the hell is Shanae?" Ava asked confused, as if she'd never met her. Ava then twirled around

"Your instinct will be to grab the chocolate milk Don't" Gregory told a little boy who was right in front of Ava  "Regular milk is better for growth" he explained  "He's lying. Look at me I drink chocolate milk, and I grew five pounds last month" Mr Johnson told the little boy

"How much longer do you think we have to do this?" i asked Gregory

"Not sure, hopefully not much longer" he replied 

"I mean as long as this doesn't go past a week, i can tolerate it" i said

"So how are the classes being affected?" i asked 

"Attendance is down, so many classes have half or more student's at home" he replied 

"Oh, yeah same deal with my school too, almost everyone i know has a free period" i replied 

"I wonder how much longer it will take until the kids take a hit" i added

"Hopefully it'd be over before anything happens" Gregory replied 

"But some of the kids will fall behind" he added

After the kids ate, the two of us were still not done in the gym. We still had to wipe down and put away the benches.

"Really?!" i asked peeling off the hair net and untying my apron 

"yes, the gym isn't going to clean itself up" Gregory told me

"ill do this half?" he said pointing to the ones on the stage side

"And you can do the ones on that side" he said pointing the benches on the wall side

"ight" i said grabbing a spray bottle and rag

The table's where not all that dirty since only so many kids came to school today, so all i got to do was spray and wipe.

When that was done, i took the spray bottle and rag back to the kitchen

"Now we just gotta move the table's" Gregory told me

"Since they have wheel's  we can just push them into the hall" instructed

I started by the gym doors on the far left, pulled the first to out of position and pushed them out the doors, and down the hall and pushed them up against the wall. 

i went back to the Gym and kept going back and forth taking two tables at a time. Over time my arm's got tired as my shoulders grew sore. I let out a deep sigh

"just four more to go" i told myself

"finally" i sighed 

As i left the Gym and walked over to Janine's classroom

"Hey, how's your class doing?" i asked her

"fine, a lot of kids at home, really worried about the solar system project though" she told me

"One of the Mom's in my class dropped off her daughter but said she cant drop her off again tomorrow, so attendance is bound to go down" she added

"Hopefully the city gives in before kids start to fall behind" i said

"Is the district doing anything to help?" i asked

"No, they wont get more busses so most kid's either walk or stay home" Janine answered

"Maybe you can talk to Ava about online schooling for the kids at home if the strike goes on for a while?"

"you know so they don't miss anything" i added

"Thats a good idea, but the school's wifi isnt the best but as long as it means everyone would be caught up i'd be great" Janine said

"ill see if i can talk to Ava about it for you" i told her

With Day two of the strike, i went to check my school laptop and saw that none of my teachers could make it

"yes!" i cheered

"now i don't have to go in today!" i cheered before ruminating through my clothes

After i got dressed, i just lounged around, did two assignments, went out for lunch then headed over to Abbott a bit early.

When i got there the halls and classes where even more bare, i could count on two hand's of how many kid's were in each classroom.

'Janine was right'

By the time i got to her door Melissa was cheering down the hallway with a noise maker, something about the workers denying an offer?

"So no good news?" i asked Janine who had the most worried ghost like expression

"No, look's like the strike is still going, no deal" she told me

"I mean they cant strike forever, right? the city wont let that happen" i replied 

"They will get a deal soon it just might take a while, you know how higher up's can be" i added

"I guess.." Janine replied 

A little while later we headed to the Teachers Lounge 

"Was really hoping the strike would be over by now I'm down to 12 kids" Janine said "Yeah, well, those are the pains of a strike, Janine You want the workers to quit striking, tell the city to quit being greedy bastards" Melissa told Janine 

"Calm down, the city will either give in or reach a deal, eventually" Then Ava came in with the tech guy

"Everyone, O'Shon is here" she announced "He did not take the bus because he owns a car" she bragged "I actually lease a preowned" O'Shon corrected, but Ava sighed in response  "Anyway, he's here to set everything up for remote learning if you need it" "Perfect, I plan on spending the rest of the day remote cleaning" Mr Johnson said as he left the room

"Uh, I'm working on upgrading the routers and putting in range extenders"

"Although, it seems like your router is already in great shape" O'shon told Ava

"Everything about me is" Ava stated as she turned and left the room

"Modernized remote learning Great, I'll finally be able to see every booger" Melissa complained

"I wish that was an option, but that won't work for my class. I just learned they respond best to hands-on learning" Janine said worriedly  "And we're in the middle of a big solar-system project There's got to be something else we can do" she added

"Dont worry it's just temporarily, worst case scenario you can push it back until the strikes over, and try out something for online learning for the kids at home" i advised

"I guess, but i dont want to ruin it for the kid's that are here now and want to do it" Janine replied   "Yeah, well, there is another way" Melissa spoke up "Lay it on me, sister" "Okay. First, you got to recruit union-friendly city council candidates, help them run their campaign, get them elected so they can unseat the incumbents" Melissa explained  "And there you go. End of the strike" 

"Guess I'll just try remote learning" Janine said defeated

"I have a not so legal way but who know's if its productive" i said

 The following day there was even less kid's, since majority of them where online at home. I also didnt have to go into school again today so i managed to get to Abbott early again.

But due to even less kid's showing up i mostly stood around and did nothing. Since we were dealing with hybrid learning Janine was somewhat able to take control, even if her kid's at home were struggling with the temporary change.

By the time Monday morning rolled around, Janine had drove her class to school while Melissa tagged along, Janine told me all about it at lunch

"It's very special that you go the extra mile for your kid's" i told her

"Also i did not know you have a commercial driver's license" i added

"Well you never know when you might need one" she told me 

"Well glad to know everything worked out" 

"you wouldn't mind if i tagged along like Melissa did this morning" i asked

"Yea sure" she replied

Later in the afternoon when the kids were moving i was tasked with taking pictures and video for their parents.

"Okay, everyone, let's see your moves" Janine told the kids

"y/n you recording?" Janine asked me, as i put my thumb up in responce 

"Okay"

"Ready"

She squeals as the kids started walking

"Don't forget to stay in your orbit" Janine reminded

The kids chatted amoung themsevlf's as they walked in a circle and they twirled around

"This is awesome" Charlie cheered "Neptune is a disco ball" Lila pointed out  "Ms. Teagues, can we turn on all the fun lights when you drive us home?" Lila asked "Oh, my God. That's right" Janine recounted

"Forgot I have to drive you guys home" she said

I was eating at the dining table while Dad was packing the twins lunches while Mom was talking to him

"...Lois, he's offering people jobs and money, things they need to feel in control of their lives again" Dad told Mom "Boys, bus'll be here in a minute!" Dad called for the twin's "Clark, we have to do something, and nobody's gonna listen to me they haven't since that first town hall, but they will to you" Mom told Dad

Then Jon and Jordan popped in

"Hey, which one's mine?" Jon asked "Here" Dad said handing him the paper bag "Thanks"

Dad then walked over to Jordan and handed him his paper bag "All right, guys, we're probably gonna have another late night working on this Edge case" Dad announced

"Are you kidding me?!" i whined   "All right, we were gonna see Sarah's revue tonight anyway" Jordan said

"You guys sure are spending quite a bit of time together for just being friends" Dad said with air quotes around friends "Just trying to support her, Dad" Jordan replied 

"yeah 'support'" i said sarcastically copying Dad, then laughed to myself

"Uh-huh" Dad went "Right" said Jon

"We all know you like Sarah, no point in denying it" i told Jordan

Jon laughed 

"What? She said she just wanted to be friends" Jordan said "Might be more than that, but I will leave it up to her to tell you" Mom told Jordan

"Bus is pulling up" Dad told the twin's "All right there's leftovers in the fridge, okay?" Mom told the Twins and i

"All right, love you guys"

"Bye" 

The twins then left for school  "All right, I gotta go meet Lana at the Gazette" Mom told Me and Dad

"Clark, you are Martha Kent's son she was helping people here way before Edge showed up they will listen to you." Mom told Dad

"All right"

"Bye" "Bye" 

The two kissed before mom hugged me

"ill see you later" she told me before pulling away and heading to her car

I took my dishes and put them in the sink

"Okay, y/n can you go get dressed?" Dad told me

"Fine..." i said running to my room

I just threw an outfit together, something colourful and comfortable. Then i put my hair up and meet Dad back downstairs.

"Okay i gotta go meet with Emilly Phan at the dinner, you have to stay in the truck okay?" Dad told me 

"Fine" i replied following dad outside

"Why cant i just stay home?" i asked as i got into the truck

"you know why, you are not old enough just yet" Dad told me

I sighed and rolled my eye's

"I stayed home alone before..." i mumbled 

"That was a one time thing" Dad reminded me

"Besides that was an unpredictable emergency and your Mom said it wouldn't happen again, at least for a while" Dad explained

The next little while the truck was filled with silence 

"I don't want to be dragged all around while you and Mom investigate" i whined

"i know, i know just give it a little bit longer, you'll be at school again and can be at home with the boy's at the house but until then we are stuck like this" Dad replied 

Dad then parked the Truck and lowered the windows

"Okay, Don't move ill be right back this shouldn't take long" Dad instructed  

"Okay" i replied scrolling on my phone

Dad was only in the diner for about five minuets before he ran back to the truck

"hey-"

"y/n i got take off stay here okay?" Dad said in a panic

"Okay.."

He then sped of to go be superman

'hm i wonder if he's saving someone from a flood for collapsing building' i though to myself

He was gone for about 15-20 minutes before he flew back

"What was it now?" i asked as he got into the truck

"A bank robbery in Mexico" Dad replied 

"hmm"

"You okay?" i asked

I swear i saw a bruise or two on Dad

"Yeah i'm fine" he told me 

"We're gonna go home for the next little bit, i will let you know if we gotta run back out" He told me before we drove off.

"So how many bank robberies have you stopped before?" i asked

"A lot more than you think, but I've lost count over the year's" he replied

"So what do you do just show up fight some robbers and make sure no one dies?" i asked

"Yea in the most simple way" He replied

On the Drive home i started to feel weird, like i felt light headed and warm, especially my eye's. I kept blinking but it didn't seem to help.

But we got into the drive way Dad noticed.

"Hey you feeling okay?" he asked me

"Yea, my eye's are burning like crazy" i replied 

I got out of the truck and ran to the kitchen but fell even more dizzy.

'whats going on?' i thought to myself holding the back of my head and leaning on the fridge door for support. I just got myself some water and headed upstairs to my room

"You sure you're okay?" Dad pressed

"Yeah i'm sure it's nothing" i replied

I placed the cup of water on my desk, changed into my summer Pj's, opened a window and went to lay down.

I ended up drifting off for a while, by the time i woke up i felt even worse. My head is reeling, my eyes feel like lava and despite all my progress i felt even warmer,  hot even

'what..?'

i held the side's of my head as i got out of bed, i heard Mom and Dad talking in the kitchen

'Mom will know what to do' i thought 

"...Do you think it has something to do with that gas Rosetti used?" "I don't know" "We're gonna have to call my dad"

"Mom...Dad.." i weakly called out before i fainted by the dish cabinet

Mom Caught me Just in time before Dad Rushed over They took me over to the Living room and sat me down. 

"Sweetie whats going on?" Mom asked me

"I dont know i was fine this morning" i replied

I then looked off to the Fireplace and before i knew it lazers came out of my eye's and started a small fire

"oh no.."

Dad quickly put it out using that ice breath thing he has"Keep your eye's on the fire place" he instructed 

"I gotta go to see Jordan" Dad said before running off

"Do you want me to get you an ice pack or some water?" Mom asked me 

"Yeah, both thank's" i replied

I got off the couch and sat in front of the coffee table leaning back on it for support.

'i wonder how Jordan handling this or of Jon is going through something' i thought

My eye lids became heavier, i wanted to lean my head back but i just had to keep my eye's on the fireplace, never knew fighting my own body could be so hard.

"Agh!" i screeched as my eyes lit up and set another fire, i sighed and leaned my head back 

"y/n i know it's hard but you gotta sit up" Mom told me

She Handed me the water and placed the ice pack on my shoulder and i held it there with my other hand.

A few moments later Dad came back with Jordan

"Whats with you?" "You okay?" Me and Jordan asked each other at the same time

"im going to make you some tea" Mom told Jordan, who sat on the couch behind me wrapping himself with a blanket

"Ah!" i whined as the Heat vision acted up again, now growing the fire

Jordan, shocked at my new power

"You have heat-vision now?" he asked

"yeah" i cried leaning my head back

"How did you survive this?!" i asked whining 

"Here, honey" Mom said sitting beside Jordan, passing him the hot mug

"So what's happening?" Jordan asked Dad

"The Kryptonite gas that Rosetti used on me at the DOD, it was a bio-weapon, and I think it might be communicable" Dad explained  "Like, a virus?" Jordan asked "So we're both getting Kryptonite sickness from you?" Jordan asked "Yeah" Dad said

I started crying as i lit more fire into the fireplace, but most tear drops evaporated due the heat.

"Clark, it's not your fault" Mom told him "You didn't even know anything was happening until today" Mom said "You have super-healing, so how long are you sick for?" Jordan asked

"Your dad has never been sick a day in his life" Mom Told Jordan

"So we are just going to suffer indefinitely?!" i asked 

"Well, I'm not that bad" Jordan said taking off the blanket and standing up but, he ending up sneezing into his arm

"Ow!" he yelped clutching his chest, He sat back down before Mom and Dad got Grandpa to get to the house

I zoned out staring at the fireplace 

"This wasn't supposed to happen" Grandpa told them "Really?" Mom said "Because it sure seems like a weapon designed to hurt Superman would hurt Superman" Mom pointed out "It was only meant as a last resort, just to weaken him temporarily" Grandpa argued  "Then why is my son and daughter sick?" She asked "Explain that to me, You put your own grandchildren in harm's way" Mom added "Sam, how do we fix this?" Dad asked "My guys are working on it" Grandpa replied 

Grandpa went outside and soon after and a bit later Jon came home

"Jordan, where are you?" Jon asked frantically from the door

"Upstairs" Mom yelled from Jordan's room

I soon followed and sat on the stairs. "Wow, it's like Iditarod-level cold in here" Jon commented "Your brother's sick, and so is your sister" Mom told him "Does that have something to do with you flaking on Sarah?" Jon asked "I gotta get back there, I..." Jordan said, when i heard, i ran back to my spot in the living room and just in time too

"eugh!" i yelped as my heat-vison went off, this time longer and it felt like forever. I couldn't help but cry at the pain, and the heat of everything, it just kept burning and hurting. I couldn't bring myself to go back upstairs, so i slumped over the coffee table holding my head in my hand's while keeping my eyes on the fireplace.

'I can't wait till this is all over'

A few moments later Dad put me on his back while carrying Jordan as the three of us flew to the Fortress.

Jordan stood to the left of me while i sat against the ice enjoying the cold

"oh this is much better" i sang

Dad went off to the other room for a bit then came back. He grabbed my hand pulling me up

"your gonna have to stand behind me" he instructed 

i knodded and did just that. Then Dad told Jordan he had to burn the heat out of his lungs 

"We have to do this, otherwise your lungs could completely freeze" Dad explained to Jordan "Dad, I'm scared" Jordan replied "I'm gonna be right here" Dad reassured  "You're gonna take my hand, okay?" Dad instructed  "You're gonna squeeze as hard as you need to, okay? You can do this" he added

Then lasers from the walls struck him, Dad as promised held his hand throughout it even as he yelled

"Doing great, you're almost there" Dad Reassured Jordan  "You're almost there" By now the two where on the ground as i stood not too far behind the two "That's it, that's it! It's over" "That's it, it's over You're done" "Hey, you did it, okay?" "Hey, I'm proud of you." "You all right?" Dad asked "Come here" he said pulling Jordan into a hug "I'm proud of you" he said kissing his beanie  "Come on, stand up" he said pulling them both up from the ground

"Good job" i said weakly putting a tumbs up

When that was over it was my turn, Dad turned around and pulled me in front of him while Jordan sat off to the side

'oh no' i thought

"y/n, we have to burn your fever out" he instructed as he had his arms on my shoulders

"wha- what?!" no! it was too painful!" i recounted thinking back to the house as i felt tears forming

"I know i know, but just like with Jordan, ill be right here" he told me taking his hands and moving them to mine

"It's going to be okay" he told me in a softer tone

"If you say so..."

"It will."

For me the laser's hit my body and my head, i tried to repress how much it hurt but like earlier, i cried.

All i could do was scream and cry it keep getting worse and worse

"I can't! I can't take it!" i yelled clutching my stomach and leaning onto Dad

"Not yet, almost there" Dad replied

"keep going"

By then i must of passed out, i felt myself fall onto Dad.

When i awoke i felt normal again my eyes no longer burned, my head no longer dizzy. Dad was with me on the ground as he held me in his arm's

"You okay?" Jordan asked with concern, who i looked up at

"yeah.." i replied

I turned toward's Dad who i saw the anxiety wash away as a relieved expression took over

"Oh, y/n..." he said softly and out of breath

Dad was at a loss of word's so he just hugged me tightly 

"See...you're okay..everything worked out" he told me cradling the back of my head and kissing my temples and forehead over and over again, then pulling up carrying me into the air giving me a long tight hug spinning around.

"So it's over now? we can go home?" i asked

"Yep" he replied putting me back down

The three of us slowly walked throughout the fortress

"So that's what Kryptonite feels like, huh?" Jordan asked

"Yeah" Dad replied

"is it always that bad?" i asked

Then Dad walked away from us with his head low he took off his glasses and pinched his nose

"Dad?"

"Dad?"

"I'm sorry, Jordan, i'm sorry y/n" "Your lives right now are completely changed because of who I am. Everything that's happening to you, neither of you asked for any of this" he sympathised 

"We didn't, but you didn't ask for what happened to you either" Jordan replied

"It will all work out What's a few bump's in the road?" i added

Dad pulled us into a group hug really holding on to our heads. As soon as he pulled away he grabbed me and Jordan and flew back home. 

Turns out Mom and Jon were in danger, they were attacked.

When we landed at our dark farmhouse i ran into my room while Dad went off to the Barn. I changed into warmer Pj's and sat with my light's off until the cop's came, then i went to Jordan's room.

"Think Mom's gonna let you keep those solar weapons now?" Jordan asked Jon while he sat on the bed as Jon looked out the window "I don't know I mean, they're pretty much the only reason we're alive, so..." Jon replied "It'd suck to come home and find out I was the only son" Jordan replied  "Yeah" Jon said

"But that didn't happen and that's great!" i said attempting to raise the mood

"So..." Jon trailled off as he went to sit on the bean bag chair "So you two are just, like, fine now?" he asked

"Yeah, couldn't stand another moment of involuntary heat vision" i answered  "Yeah, other than ice breath" Jordan replied  "So you have them now for good, or what?" Jon asked

"Think so" Jordan replied 

I then opened the window and in the far distance lit some corn on fire, i wiped my eye's and ran downstairs to get some water then ran off to the corn field and put it out then ran back to Jordan's room

"unfortunately..." 

"The thing's i would do to be normal like you" i confessed to Jon

"What's that feel like?" Jon asked Jordan

"Like having a piece of wintergreen gum in your mouth at all times" Jordan explained

"Nice" Jon went

"Cool" I replied

"I can't believe what happened" Jordan said

"Avery Phan's mom and Mr. Cushing?" he added "Right, but it wasn't them, you know? They were super, super brainwashed" Jon corrected  "I think Grandpa's sending a few people to go look for 'em both" Jon said

"What are they gonna tell Sarah?" Jordan asked "I don't know" Jon replied 

"I'm sure she'll be okay" I told Jordan giving him a side hug

"Just text her" i advised him

As i was on my way back to my Room i turned back at the door frame

"y/n, can you collect the tests for me?" she asked

"Sure" i said

I walked laps around the classroom collecting the paper slip's from each kid in their small desk groups then made my way back to Janine

"Perfect"

"I have to go to the office real quick, can you watch these guy's?" Janine asked me

"Oh of course" i replied 

Then Janine skipped off while i supervised, the kid's just talked to their buddies while i made sure nothing went wrong

"How'd they do?" i asked with a smile

"Terrible" Janine sadly replied

"Oh really? What now?" i asked

"I dont know" she replied as she stat down and looked off at her comeputer

Later on in the Teacher lounge Melissa Barbra, and Gregory where watching the news while i went over my assignment before submission.

"Anyone else nervous the SEPTA strike might actually happen?" Gregory asked

"Not for a moment" Barbra replied

"Kinda, but what's so bad if it happens?" i asked

"Yeah, they should strike, though The city's always screwing them over" Melissa said

"On one hand yeah stick it to the man but on the other it's sad they have to do this to actually get what they want" i replied

Then Janine popped in 

"Oh! Melissa, I know you were worried, but I figured it out" Janine told her pointing around "Those practice tests are culturally biased" Janine explained 

"Huh?" i asked

"Janine, Melissa's students are all so Black" Barbra stated

"Yea like every class" i reminded her with a chuckled 

"Yeah, and they killed it" Melissa said "You got the only white kid in the school, how'd he do?" she asked

"Also very poorly" Janine said "But maybe the cultural bias is in the teaching" she explained while Gregory shocked his head "Like, you subconsciously taught them your whiteness, and now they're thinking whitely" Janine told Melissa 

"whitely as in?-" i would have added something but was cut off by Gregory "Stop."

"Sweetheart, if you think this is an anomaly, just retest them" Barbra advised her 

"That is a good idea" Janine said "Are you kidding me? I said this already" Gregory spoke up "Yes, but not as majestically as Barb" Janine replied

"how about we just go over it once then retest them?" i asked

"could that help?" i added

"Nah im sure that they got this" Janine told me before leaving while i followed close after

"is preparing them for the test now that important? doesn't third grade do that?" i asked 

"well sure but we have to follow the districts rules and guideline's" Janine explained

"besides its very important to be as prepared as possible" she added 

When we landed on the first floor we both went to her class room so she could plan out the new test while we both waited for her kid's to come back.

At the end of the next Day as i was Dropping off my badge Janine followed me there as she had to get permission from Ava to take the test again before she went to the Gym for step club

"It's just a test that's one grade away they will be fine" i told her as i snapped off they lanyard

"I know, but they still need to do well on the practises test" she told me

"I just want them to improve that's all" she added

"Okay, well see you tomorrow" i said placing the badge on the counter and sprinting off to my  car

The following day when i got to the School I asked Janine

"How'd they do this time?"

"Pretty bad again" she said

"That's weird, so what now? i asked

"Well ill have them take it again in the morning" she told me

"again?!" I asked as we both headed into the Teacher lounge

"Well, my kids failed the retest" she told the others "Even Claudia? She's a great student" Gregory said "Yeah, even Claudia. You know, I don't get it" "I... It was the right time of day Their bellies were full, but not too full" "They were bright-eyed and bushy-tailed" she said putting her lunch bag on the table "Well, it looks like you figured out what the problem is then" Melissa said

"Mm-hmm"

"What?" Janine asked sitting down

"You." Melissa said

"What?!" Janine questioned

"Damn" Gregory replied

"But how?" i asked

"No, no, no, no. I am not the problem" Janine replied defensively while Melissa and Barbra's faces disagreed

"My kids have passed every year with flying colours the way I've taught the test works" Janine explained

"And now it doesn't" Barbra pointed out "Yeah, you can teach it the same way five years, six years, everything's fine, then you get a new group of kids, all of a sudden it doesn't work anymore" Melissa went on "Mm-hmm. I remember once I had a class I had to sing the ABCs or they just didn't get it" Barbara recounted "Oh, and you just had to sing?" Gregory asked monotony looking right at Barbra 

"So you have to switch up teaching methods for new groups of kid's? nothings universal?" i asked

"Bingo" "I just thought I had it figured out I mean...like, isn't there some point where you've just got it down?"

"No! Kid, having it down means you gotta know when to change it up" Melissa explained

"Okay I guess I will try...trying something else, by switching up my methods"

"Okay" Barbra whispered 

"I'm just happy that we all equally helped you along this journey" Gregory told Janine "Aww, Gregory What part did you play?" she asked holding his hand

I laughed at Janine's response while Gregory fell silent

"damn"

Later on that afternoon Janine was helping out the kids in a visual method, showing them multiplication with paper car's on the chalk board while i stood at the back of the class awaiting for something to do.

Then Janine called Ava in.

"Hey Ah! I just had a breakthrough with my students. We came at test prep a bit more visually,so we're gonna need to take the test again" Janine told Ava "For a third time?! This isn't even a real test Janine. No!" Ava shot down

"yeah i think this is good enough for next year im sure they are tired of it" i pipped in "Let's see if they can solve this word problem" Ava told Janine "If you have one teacher who is getting on all my nerves..." Ava said turning to the class "Alright, you don't have to answer that" Janine shot down

Ava laughed to herself heading to leave but  O'shon came in and told her he was heading out

"Hi Janine, Hi y/n" he said to us

Janine jaw was on the floor watching the twos conversation

"So..." she clears her throught

"O'Shon is the poor guy?" she asked

"Really? him?" i asked 

Out of all Guy's she could've picked, him?

Ava Gave me a disgusted looked 

"Don't eavesdrop on me" she told Janine

"You're in my classroom" Janine argued 

Ava paused before whispering to us

"When you cook at home..."

"Mm-hmm?"

"do you wash the dishes yourself?" Ava asked

"like by dish washer-" "Ava, you are not rich" Janine pointed out "Let's pull up our bank accounts and put 'em side by side" Ava countered

"I don't wanna do that" Janine said defeatedly 

“Looks like its time for bed” he said picking up the Baby

and headed to the kitchen.

“Lets get you that bottle” 

Clark place y/n down in the high chair while he went to make their bottle, turning on the kettle 

y/n whined and cried as their Dad’s back was turned against them.

“Eugh” they cried

Then Clark turns around

“Im right here” Clark coded kissing their temple 

Clark proceeded to pour the water into the bottle, then scooped out some powdered formula and shocked it into the bottle.

y/n started to whine again growing increasingly more agitated.

“Mhmm” they cried 

“Its almost ready just one second” Clark cooed 

Clark then used his ice breath to cool down the scorching baby bottle until it was lukewarm.

“Now you can drink” he said taking y/n out of the highchair then cradling them. Clark gently placed the bottle nipple on their lips before y/n accepted it.

“Okay lets get you back to the nursery” he said as he strolled upstairs.

In y/n’s Nursery, Clark sat down in the chair in the corner and gently patted y/n on the back as they drank. Their eyes started to get heavy and they stretched their arms.

“Lets get you to sleep” Clark whispered

He slowly got up and gently layed y/n down on their back. The seconds in between y/n’s blinks became increasingly longer, then they were asleep

“Goodnight y/n” Clark whispered then kissed their forehead. 

About an hour and a half later Lois had come home from work. She placed her bag and jacket by the door and headed down the hallway.

“Hey Clark” Lois greeted him smiling as best she could 

Clark pulled her into a hug while Lois kissed his cheek

“How was work?” Clark asked smiling at her 

“Oh, fine as always” she replied 

“Im gonna get myself some dinner” she told Clark

Then the two shared another kiss before Lois pulled away. As she was on her way to the Kitchen y/n started crying again. She let out a sigh 

“I'm gonna go check on y/n, can you get my plate for me?” Lois said

“Of course” Clark replied.

“Comming sweetheart” Lois said, rushing to the Nursery.

Lois swung the door open then walked up to her crying baby.

“Whats wrong?” she asked turning on the lights

By the time Lois had scooped them up and started rocking them y/n stopped crying. 

“You just wanted someone didn't you?” she said softly

Then she grabbed a pacifier and gave it to y/n, who stretched out their arms and yawned as Lois kissed their forehead and laid them back down.

She turned off the lights and just hovered over them as they slowly drifted off.

“How’s y/n?” Clark asked standing behind Lois

“Their fine, just woke up again” she told him

Then the two went back down to the kitchen.

A few hours later right as Clark and Lois were heading to bed y/n started crying again.

They sat up and flailed their arms and legs around awaiting for either Lois or Clark 

And with a blink of an eye Clark was there

“Hey” he said scoobing up y/n

“What’s wrong?” he cooed as he rocked them

y/n kept opening their mouth and putting their hand to their mouth 

“Ahh you must be hungary, lets get you a new bottle” Clark cooed

The two headed down to the kitchen where Clark sat y/n down in the high chair the got to work on the bottle.

While his back was turned, y/n didn't want to wait, they placed their hands on the tray and lifted themself up and placed their feet on the chair.

“Its almost ready sweetheart” Clark reassured 

But by the time he turned around y/n was just sitting there slapping their hands on the tray. When Clark turned back to the sink y/n went back into position, this time trying to float.

They attempted to bounce and float by letting their arms launch them.

When they got out of the chair they slowly floated towards Clark.

“Okay it's ready-” Clark told them but when he turned around he saw that y/n was six feet in the air slowly floating towards him.

“Oh you really are hungary” he laughed 

“Come here” he added, grabbing y/n and cradling them. He placed the nipple on y/n's lips but they took it out of Clark’s hand. He laughed before he took y/n back to the nursery.

When they got there Clark leaned against the crib while he waited for y/n to finish eating.

When they did they let out a yawn as their eye lid’s became heavy.

“Lets get you back to bed” Clark said 

He took away the bottle and placed it on a table and replaced it with another pacifier. Clark laid them down in the crib.

He turned off the lights and watched y/n slowly drift off to sleep.

y/n let out a little yawn, stretched out their arms and leaned on Clark's torso

“Looks like its time for bed” he said picking up the Baby

and headed to the kitchen.

“Lets get you that bottle”

The Dollhouse was calm and quiet in the sunny early afternoon.

Each of the Gabby cat’s were doing their own thing, Baby box was painting, Cakey was reading while he was relaxing, Mercat was organizing some new nail polishes and pillow cat was writing a story.

CatRat decided to spend his free time napping in the bedroom on tree house with his giant pillow, he had been dossed off for a while laying curled up

But then there was a loud noise in one of the other rooms

“Vroooom” it buzzed 

CatRat blinked his eyes open, stretched and yawed, rising from his pillow. With his face scrunching up.

“Whats that noise?” he complained while blinking and looking around 

CatRat groaned and rubbed his eyes then hopped down from the tree and crawled into one of his hidey holes.

When he popped back out he had found himself in the kitchen.

As CatRat slid in from behind the hanging pans.

“Whats with all the noise?” he wined asking Gabby and Pandy.

Gabby and Pandy had just pinched in and brought in a new machine that Gabby got in the Dollhouse delivery.

“Oh hey CatRat“ Gabby cheerfully greeted the blue cat

“I got this and wanted to see what it does” she told CatRat gesturing to the glittery pink box with a drawer

“I was thinking it might have something to do with food” Pandy added

“Mhmm…” CatRat mumbled as he pressed his paw against his chin

“But all it did was decorate these cookies” Pandy said, pointing to the plates.

They each had rainbow sprinkles and colorful icing, some had pastel and shimmery others were more saturated with brighter rainbows with fruit decor on top.

“All the instructions said where to put something in it for a colorful surprise” Gabby told him 

CatRat put his hand on his hips and tilted his head

“Did you have any more ideas you wanted to try out?” He asked her as he inspected the sparkly object 

“No not yet, but im sure we can come up with something” she replied 

 “Well i have one” he said grabbing it it off the table

“What is it?” Pandy asked him

“Follow me!” Catrat instructed while heading into the Catavator.

The three of them ended up in the Craft Room where Baby Box was getting out a box of miscellaneous things. Like rocks, charms, headbands, buttons and ribbons 

“Hey Baby Box” Gabby greeted the cardboard cutie 

“Hey Gabby” Baby Box replied 

“What’s that?” she asked pointing to the machine that Catrat was carrying, he put it down on the counter top in the middle of them all.

“Not quite sure” Pandy said

“You put something in the drawer” gabby said opening it

“Then you put things inside” she added putting a rock in then pushing it closed

“Then push this button” she said pressing it “for a colorful surprise” 

Then it made its buzzing noise similar to an engine’s or a phone. It went off for about three seconds, when it was up Gabby took out the tray and put the shimmery rock with rainbow polka dots onto the counter 

“I think it rainbow-ify’s different things” she said

“It's great since I love rainbows” she added, pinching her cat ears and making her long dark brown curls into an ombre rainbow and flipping it.

“It's so cool!” Baby Box cheered popping up

Then Gabby quickly pinched her hair back to its dark rich shade.

Catrat rolled his eyes while crossing his arms, interrupting the two girl’s excitement.

“I was thinking about crafting something and putting it in this thing” he said 

“Thats a great idea!” Baby Box said

“But what will we make?” Pandy asked 

“Hmmm” Baby Box replied, her searching for an answer while staring off into the randomized box

“I know!” she announced raising her arms 

“We can make headbands and rainbow-ify them!” she said getting out some felt, scissors and glue 

“We can glue whatever we want on these headbands then put them into the drawer” she added picking out four of them for each of them

“That's a great idea!” Gabby told Baby Box

“See that’s why i had us come to the Craft Room” Catrat said pointing to himself, closing his eyes, smiling and tilting his head to the side.

The room erupted with laughs from the others as they all got started on their headband’s.

Catrat’s arrogant expression was wiped away and morphed into a sour look, with his narrowed eyes and neutral mouth.

Baby Box was glueing on buttons while making one big flower on the side, Gabby was glueing on hearts and flowers while Pandy was glueing on fruit made out of felt and beads. 

However CatRat was glueing on some stripes that matched his tail along with some buttons

“Finshed!” Gabby said putting hers into the drawer, the Baby 

Box slid in hers, then CatRats and finally Pandy’s.

Baby Box then pressed the button 

Vroooom it went

When it was done Pandy pulled the drawer out and placed it beside the box of the rest of the machine. The four of them took out each of their headbands and admired them.

Gabby’s flowers were rainbow while the hearts were all glittery and were a different colour of the rainbow.

Baby Box’s button flower was a shimmery blue to match her dress and the rest of the buttons matched all of her polka dots on her dress.

Pandy’s fruit was all rainbows and the beads where glittery with each colour of the rainbow 

And CatRat’s stripes were shinny with holographic rainbow buttons 

“They look amazing” Pandy said, picking his up and placing it on his head. 

The other three also wore their colorful and shimmery headbands.

“Well mine looks the best” CatRat said pointing to himself

“But yours are nice too” he added

“What should we do with this now?” asked Pandy 

“Hmm…i dont know” said Gabby

Gabby, Pandy and CatRat sat and brained stormed

“I wonder if Pillow Cat has any ideas” Pandy said

“To the Bedroom!” Gabby said

CatRat grabbed the rainbow-ifyer then the three of them piled into Catavator riding it down to the second floor.

In the Bedroom Pillow Cat had a couple of empty books in a pile beside her as she wrote about a sweet filled tropical island.

Gabby and the two other cats came rushing out

“Hey Pillow Cat!” said Gabby

“Hey Gabby, what brings you here?” Pillow Cat asked 

“I got the machine in the meow meow mail box and i was wondering-”

“If you knew what to put in this” CatRat said as he placed it onto the bed

“Hmm” Pillow Cat mumbled

“I know!” she said as she closed the book.

Then Pillow cat placed her new picture book into the Rainbow-ifyer and pressed the button. It buzzed for a few moments then Pillow Cat pulled it out revealing the cover to be a holographic pink. 

The picture pillow Cat drew of the sweet island now had a pink sandy beach with pink cotton candy clouds, a double rainbow, banana split palm trees, a bright blue ocean water that looked like it was filled with juice and bits of fruit.

The title of the book was now white with a light pink stroke and was named “The sweet beach”

“Wow! The colours are perfect!” Pillow Cat said as she flipped throughout the candy coated pages, admiring the illustrations.

“Cakey would love this!” Pandy said

“If only we could explore it” CatRat moaned 

“But what if we can?” Gabby said, leaning down to the blue cat's level placing her hand on his shoulder. Then she turned towards Pillow cat

“Pillow Cat, do you want to explore inside the book?” Gabby asked

“Sure! I've always wanted to explore a sweet themed beach” she answered

“Should we get Cakey too?” Pandy asked

“Sure!” said Gabby 

She ran into the Catavator taking it down one more floor. Gabby popped the question asking if Cakey wanted to join in and he Jumped up saying 

“Well of course!” Cakey cheered 

The two meet up with the other three gabby cats back in the bedroom before Gabby pinches the group inside the book.

As the five of them landed into the story each of them were wearing beach clothing that matched the environment. 

Gabby was now wearing a pink tank top with rainbow sprinkles and a matching tutu with swim shorts under and some bright blue jelly sandals with her hair in two pig tails.

Cakey was wearing a wrapper with candy fruits and some yellow sunglasses.

Pandy had on some chocolate themed shorts and a matching beach shirt.

Pillow cat had on a soda float themed sunhat and some heart shaped sunglasses.

And CatRat had on some ice cream short, matching top with purple sun glasses that matched his beach bag

“Woah” said Pillow cat 

“Our looks are Cat-tastic!” Gabby cheered with a twirl 

“What should we do first?” asked Pillow cat

“Swim in the juice ocean?” suggested Gabby pointing behind her

“Make Sand castles?” Pandy suggested picking up a handful of sand

“Explore the candy forest?” Cakey said pointing to behind him

“There is so much to do here” said Pillow cat

“But what should we do first?” asked CatRat

“I think we should explore first then circle back to the beach to have fun and do what we want” Gabby said

“Lets start with the Forest!” Gabby added 

but as the group turned around CatRat just had to stop them

“nuh uh uh” CatRat spoke up shacking his head 

“Sun screen first!” he said, pulling out five bottles of them from his beach bag.

“But we are just in a book” said Cakey

“If we are gonna spend time on a beach we must wear it” CatRat insisted 

“Its not like the lemon sun is real” Pandy said

“But the beach rules! And this is a beach!” Catrat corrected

The group collectively sighed as CatRat handed them out.

“One of us has to be responsible,” CatRat said as he rubbed some of the sun screen on his face, and so did the others. When they finished, CatRat took them back.

“Okay now we can explore” he announced

“To the Forest!" Gabby announced as she led the way.

The ground of the forest was covered in chocolate powder while the grass was the bright candy grass from Easter.

The bushes each had all different types of fruit candies growing on them, like smaller hard candy, gummy fruit, jelly fruit and tanghulu growing off some taller bushes.

Pandy goes on to pick a few off the bushes.  

“These are good” he cheered as he poured extras into his bag

“Really?” Cakey asked, twirling around 

Gabby then went to pick a tanghulu stick.

“Ive never gotten to try one of these, yet” she cheered

Then Pillow cat rolled over to the bush with the gummy fruit and picked out a paw full of peaches and strawberries, while Cakey picked out two banana jelly fruits.

The area was filled with the scent of sugar and fruit salad As Gabby and the other gabby cat’s picked off more and more candy.

CatRat gritted his teeth as he held one paw to his jaw and the other resting on his elbow 

CatRat’s POV 

When the others were picking at the candy fruits I couldn't help but worry, I mean you are not meant to eat random berries off bushes in forests so why wouldn’t this be any different?

Third person POV

“Wait!” CatRat screeched as his voice sounded like an alarm 

Gabby and the Gabby cats froze in their spots and turned to stare at CatRat who had looked as he’d seen a Ghost. His pupils were dilated as he held onto his ear’s tight.

“What’s wrong?!” Gabby asked CatRat

“Should we really be eating these?” he asked 

“I mean it’s just Candy” Pandy replied before eating a piece 

“Ive gotten pasta from a book before im sure we’re fine” Cakey reassured

“Yea- but!..didn’t you also get your Golden Sprinkle from a book too?” CatRat asked

“I mean you didn't eat that one” he added 

“Sure, but my Golden Sprinkle and the pasta are different” Cakey pointed out 

Then Pillow cat picked off another peach and rolled over towards CatRat 

“Come on it’s fine, Cakey even said so” she told CatRat handing him the Candy, while the other went back to tasting the fruit candy 

He took a deep sigh right before taking a small bite.

“It..tastes like regular candy” he said

“See? Totally fine” Cakey replied 

After their little snack break Gabby and the Gabby cat’s continued on the chocolate dust path. 

As the five of them continued to walk down the path there were now trees with Candy apples and Caramel apples growing from them.

“Ooo, even more sweets!” Gabby cheered pointing towards the candy covered apples.

“But how do we reach them?” she asked, scanning the area for a ladder. 

“I got it” Cakey said launching himself onto a branch 

Cakey climbed up using branches as platforms, and used a big leaf to launch himself to the top branch. When he got there Cakey picked out one for each of them, then carefully jumped down and handed them each out.

They all thanked him and continued walking.

As they reached the end of the forest Pandy spotted something in the background. 

“Look!” he said, pointing to some light yellow hills in the distance.

“Come on!” he said, running down the path. 

Gabby and Cakey chased behind him while Pillow cat rolled as fast as she could 

"Be careful!" CatRat yelled after them, he sighed then started to walk a little faster.

“Pudding mountains!” Pandy announced as he pointed about 300 meters up

“Should we climb up?” Pillow Cat asked

“I don't see why not” Gabby said

Catrat had finally caught up to them and stopped in his place, bending his knees leaning over while he rested his paws on his legs. CatRat stopped to catch his breath before pippin up

“You want to climb up that?!” he whined 

“Yeah!” Pandy said as he jumped in his spot 

“We will get a great view from up there” Pillow cat said

CatRat rolled his eyes and sighed 

“You dont have to climb with us if you don’t want to” Pillow cat told him

“Yeah you can just go to the beach and we’ll meet you there” Gabby suggested 

“no..no no” CatRat replied

“Ill…follow- ill climb the mountain with you guys” he added

Then the group follows Gabby as she leads the way. 

The pudding mountain was a steep uphill climb, but since it was already a short mountain they only crept up so much. 

“This is a nice stop” CatRat said as they were only on half of the mountain, stopping on the caramel coloured mountain balcony decorated to look like cherries.

He looked out and at the beach looking at the bright blue waves crashing into the soft pink sand.

The others joined him as they stared in awe at the scenery.

“should we go higher” Gabby suggested

“Why? We have a perfectly safe and beautiful view from right here” CatRat replied, tapping on the railing.

“Yeah, could you imagine how much better it is from the view from up there?” Pillow cat asked 

“We are only half way up anyways” she added 

“If you want to stay here until we finish climbing thats fine” Cakey told Catrat

“Yea but shouldn't we stick together?” Pandy asked 

Catrat let out a sigh “fine let’s all go to the top” “ill join” he added

By the time they got to the top of the mountain the sky went from mostly cloudy to mostly sunny with the pink cotton candy clouds dispersing and the bright lemon sun heating up a few degrees.

The higher they climbed the hotter it got, Gabby looked off to the water as she sat at the edge of the clif, and so did the rest.

“Im definitely going for a swim after this” she said sliding her arm across her forehead.

“Me too” Cakey said

“The sea goes on forever” Pandy said

“It’s so much prettier from up here” Pillow Cat said

“Yeah” CatRat agreed 

They only stared out for a couple moments before they felt that the heat rise was getting to them

“Woo, think we should head down to the beach now?” CatRat whined 

“Sure, I could really use that swim now” Gabby replied 

“Its going to take forever to get down” Pandy whined

“Hmm” Gabby thought, she looked down beside her noticing the steep hill. Gabby toasted a rock down seeing how fast it slid. 

“What if we slid down?” Gabby suggested

“Could we?” Cakey asked

“Yeah” Gabby answered 

Gabby sat in the back, followed by Pandy, Pillow Cat, CatRat then Cakey. The five of them slid down as the breeze cooled them down as they shot down the mountain. The group managed to slide all the way down to the pink sand causing two piles of sand to build up.

The five of them stood up and dusted themselves off

“Now that we’ve explored the Island, what do we do now?” CatRat asked

“What ever we want” Gabby replied 

“Well, I'm gonna make a sand castle!” Pandy stated, picking up a bucket and shovel 

“Can i join?” asked Cakey

“Sure!” Pandy replied 

“Im gonna take a swim” Gabby said as she picked up a floaty and paddle  

“Im gonna rest on the hammock” Pillow Cat said pointing to the banana split palm trees

“Hmm” CatRat thought

“Well i might as well enforce beach rules since this is a beach” he added 

Gabby ran into the sea and hopped onto the floaty while using the paddle to push her across the water.

Pillow Cat laid down in the shady hammock and shut her eyes.

Cakey and Pandy took two buckets each and two shovels and sat at the edge of the sand.

And CatRat stood in the shade supervising them all.

Out in the water Gabby was just floating about until some small waves appeared in front of her.

“Hmm?” she mumbled as she felt movement in front of her

She leaned forward to see a baby Kitty narwhal smiling back at her.

“Oh hello” Gabby greeted her

The Kitty narwhal swam off to the side, getting a beach ball sized grape and tossing it towards Gabby.

“Oh you wanna play” Gabby said, throwing the ball back towards Kitty Narwhal, who caught it with her horn.

She giggled and tossed it back to Gabby. They proceed to play a few rounds in the warm sun

Over on the Beach, Cakey and Pandy were planning out their sand castel. Cakey was digging out a moat while Pandy was getting the wet sand.

When Pandy dropped off the wet sand Cakey asked “Can you get some water for the moat while I place these?” as he took the sand filled buckets

“Sure” he answered, grabbing the two empty buckets. Cakey placed the two pieces beside each other on the back of the empty circle

“Hmm looks plane” he though

When pandy got back with the water and filled the moat cakey then asked

“Doesnt it look a bit plane? Should we add anything?” 

“Maybe more sand for the castle?" Pandy Replied

The two of them got three buckets, one smaller one and two of the castle shaped buckets. Carried them over to the wet sand, scooped sand into them and dragged them back to the castel.

After placing the small one in the middle and castle shapes on opposite sides of the other two it started to come together.

“Anything else we should add?” Pandy asked

“How about a wall protecting the moat?” Cakey suggested 

“That’s a great idea” Pandy replied 

The two of them took all four bucket’s, got one more round of pink sand and dumped one bucket’s worth on each side.

Both cats used their shovels to shape the mini walls using the flat side to shape and flatten the sides.

When they were done Gabby came back from her swim and catch with the baby Kitty Narwall

“Meow-mazing sand castle” she commented

“Thanks” Pandy said

“I still think its missing something though” Cakey replied 

“Hmm”

“What if we looked for sea shells and put them on top of the castle and on the walls?” Gabby suggested picking up a bucket 

“Thats a great idea” Cakey answered as he and Pandy also picked up two buckets 

“So where do we find them?” Cakey asked 

Then CatRat strolled over to the three of them

“I can show you” he butted in

“Follow me” he added

CatRat then took the three of them to water 

“I already took some of these little crystals and shiny rocks, i just couldn't help myself” CatRat told them

“But they should wash up on the shore” he added

“Just like on Mercats beach!” Gabby said 

“Yep” CatRat replied

“Lets walk by the shore search” he instructed 

The Group walked in a line parallel to the water watch and waited for just about anything.

“Found something!” Cakey called out

He picked up two handfuls of tiny crystals that looked similar to Kohakutou in each colour of the rainbow.

“Great eye!” CatRat complemented 

“But they are a bit small though” he added

“We can do better, lets keep looking” CatRat instructed 

The four of them walked a few more meters before 

“I found some sea shells!” Pandy announced 

“Me too!” Gabby said

The two of them picked up two handfuls each Pandy’s resembling chocolate of browns swirled in with shades of white. And Gabby's resembling candy with some being white with rainbow stripes and solid colours.

“Amazing!” CatRat complemented

“Should we head back or do you want to look for more?” he asked the three.

“I think this is good” Pandy said

“Yea this is a great batch” Cakey agreed

“Great, let's head back,” Gabby said, leading the three cats.

When they all got back to the sand castle Pandy told them to 

“Place the crystals and shells anywhere”

They poured the three buckets onto a pile and the four of them sporadically placed them everywhere.

Cakey placed crystals on the outer walls while Gabby and Pandy placed the shells on top of the five castles.

“It looks meow-mazing” Gabby said

“I love it!” Pandy said

“Its an improvement” Catrat said

“Wait just one more thing” Cakey said

Cakey then jumped and twirled added some sprinkles 

“Better!” he added

“Now thats the best sandcastle I've ever seen” CatRat complemented

“Thank’s CatRat” Cakey said

Then he, Gabby and Pandy went in for a hug smothering CatRat in the three of them, and in return he wrapped his tail around them.

As soon as they pulled away Pillow Cat rolled over

This beach was meow-mazing but, i think im ready to go back to the bedroom” she told them

“Me too Catrat said 

“This was fun!” Cakey said 

“I hope we can pop into more books” Pandy said

“Maybe another time” Gabby said

 “Ready to go?” she asked the group

“Yeah”

“Yep”

“yes”

Gabby pinched her headband, bringing everyone back to the bedroom and in their original clothes.

“That was fun but I got things to put away in the kitchen” Cakey said

“Well me and pandy and gonna see if Mercat has anything we could rainbow-ify” she said as Pandy picked up the rainbow-ifyer.

“That was alot, i think im gonna take a catnap” CatRat said as he went back to his spot on top of the tree.

“See you later” Gabby said

She, Pandy and cakey hopped into the Catavator while
