Kpop Demon Hunters: ZOEYSTERY drawing!

FIRST BLOG ENTRY — March 6th, 2026

Greetings,

This is my first time ever doing a blog, but I thought I should start because I need a way to share my thoughts without going crazy. (°▽°)

Unfortunately, today is my last day of spring break and I head back to campus tomorrow. :(

BUUTTT during break I did some creative idea practices, aka thumbnail sketches for my painting class.

Currently I’m in a second level painting class, and a level 1 drawing class with the same professor and she’s working me to the BONE. So many god damn assignments and I had art block the whole time. I take several other classes, so I was just highly stressed. I just wanted to produce, turn in the assignment and get out. There was zero creativity and no love for the game—which sucks cause art is my major.

Here’s a couple of paintings I produced while having art block:

They’re great…just not my best. As a matter of fact, my professor advised that I start over, YIKES. This is all oil paint btw, and I was getting impatient cause spring break was nearing at the time.

Soooooo, during this break, I took it upon myself to find a theme I want to go with and develop into a deeper artistic journey for myself.

Here are the thumbnailssss, most aren’t colored in yet—but you get the idea:

It follows along the concepts of love, but in a confusing-odd way. Like, I don’t want it to be too direct, but I want the viewer to add their own interpretation to it? If that makes sense. I also need to focus on having more fun with colors. I need to avoid painting the colors exactly how I see it in real life, because my paintings just end up stiff. Less creativity basically.

Now…the REAL question is: How tf am I going to mass produce these paintings with two months left of the semester???? BOMBOCLAATTTT

No sleep is the answer.
