𝐌𝐈𝐇𝐑𝐈𝐌𝐀𝐇 𝐒𝐔𝐋𝐓𝐀𝐍 (𝟏𝟓𝟐𝟐–𝟏𝟓𝟕𝟖)

Daughter of Suleiman the Magnificent and Hurrem Sultan, sister of Selim II.

She was a very influential Ottoman princess (Sultana), known for her political influence and social connections.

United in marriage with Rüstem Pasha, who later became Grand Vizier, the highest political position after the Sultan.

She had significant influence over political decisions in the Ottoman Empire through her position and her connection to her father.

Mother to at least four children, including: Ayşe Hümaşah Sultan, who became a prominent political figure and philanthropist.

Known for intelligence, political acumen, and diplomatic skill. Also had a keen interest in architecture, art, and philanthropy.

Financed and initiated the construction of mosques, bridges, and other public buildings, including the Mihrimah Sultan mosques in Istanbul (one in Edirnekapı and one in Üsküdar).

Passed away in 1578 and was buried in the mosque complex of Suleiman the Magnificent.
