Ainsley Atwell

“Thank you, this is a…song. I don’t really know music like this.”

Ainsley laughed as she took her hand to move to dance. “It is, in fact a song. Think you can dance to it?”

“Oh, thank you.” Ginny looked down at the simple jeans and puffy coat she was wearing. “I’m alone. I mean I’m with my sisters, kind of, but they’re off doing sister things and…yeah.” Ginny paused. “Wait, did you say a date?”

“I did. You have sisters? How many?” Ainsley asked, generally curious as the pair hadn’t gotten to really talk much. “I may have, but family comes first.” 

Rolling his eyes, Jackson dropped his hand back to his side, pocketing it with a light shrug. “Nah, it’s not a matter of can’t, more a matter of want.” He grinned at her. “Come on, you can’t tell me we didn’t have fun.”

“Oh we did, I suppose.” She smirked back. “But fun enough to do it again?”

“Thank you.” Ginny said with a smile. “I, uh, yeah…My night. Do you want to dance or something? Before we go. To convince that dude that we’re really legit.”

Ainsley grinned at the request. “I like your style. I would love to.”

Jackson laughed heartily, shaking his head as he toyed with a strand of her hair playfully. “Oh, stop it, you know I’m kidding. I could never forget you.”

“Mmm something tells me that’s a lie.” She smirked, looking up at him. “What has you so sweet today? Can’t get anyone else in bed with you?”

“No, he’s just…. sparkly.” Riley finished in a dramatic whisper, throwing up jazz hands before dissolving into giggles. “I dunno, I mean I guess he could be -” She scrunched her nose at the thought, not liking it. “But he’s never deemed all that interested in a guy.”

“And you thought I only liked guys until I brought a girl back to our place.” She joked, scanning the room at all the well dressed humans walking around them. “I’m in bisexual heaven right now by the way.” 

“Oh, I know you don’t.” Andi smiled. “How have you been? How’s the family?”

“Good and good. Same old same old. I make terrible choices, Juni gets the in and fuck if I know what ewan is doing.” She shrugged. “What about you?”

“Uh, yeah, that would be awesome.” Ginny beamed, finishing her champagne and setting down the empty flute. She took Ainsely’s phone and put in her phone number, not noticing the contact name. “There, I even double checked so I wouldn’t mess it up. Again.”

“Perfect.” Ainsley grinned, taking the phone back and sending a kissy face emoji to the other woman. “I suppose I should let you get back to your night. Thank you gorgeous.” 

“Sorry - you just, you look so familiar. I feel like I’ve seen you somewhere before.” @aaatwell

“Yeah, your bed.” Ainsley scoff with a roll of her eyes. “Way to make a girl feel special. Screw her and forget her.” 

Ginny blushed, something that wasn’t usual for her. Most of her flirting had been wasted on straight or taken women, but this was all new. “Yeah, uh, I’ll take all of the above? I don’t know where my phone is but I can probably accio it right over. Or I can try and memorize your phone number, but I can barely remember my own…How about I give you mine?”

Ainsley pulled her phone from her boot, a perfect place for it in her opinion. “Tell you what, give me yours and I’ll send you a text right now so you’ve got mine.” She said, opening a contact box and typing Ginny-stunning woman from ball in the contact line. “Deal?” She asked as she held the phone out to her.

Ginny felt a blush at the compliment, her head leaning slightly closer to Ainsely’s. Once they were away from the man, she noticed the change in her new friend. She watched her down the entire glass, her eyes growing just a little wide at how fast she drank it. “You’re fine, love. I’m Ginny, and, uh, thank you.” She smiled. “I already have one, so you’re fine. So, do you model or something? I swear I’ve seen your face around before.”

The womans comment was adorable and it made Ainsley laugh. “Oh sugar you are adorable. If I can’t get you a new drink or a second when that one is done than I’ll just have to give you my number so you can call me when you want that drink.” She winked at her. 

“It’s not painful when you aren’t screaming at me.” Andi smiled, an actual one, “That was the only time I ever really hated talking to you.”

“I can always fix that, I don’t mind causing a scene.” Ainsley joked with a smirk. 

Riley furrowed her brow, not sure what she meant. “We talk about everything.” She commented, shrugging as best as she could with Ainsley attached to her, letting herself be guided across the room. “He has a rhinestone tie, did you see it? It’s so cute.”

“A rhinestone tie? What is he gay now?” She joked, always poking fun at the man. “And I know you two talk about everything, more reason to think he’s gay as sunshine on a rainbow.” 

Juniper laughed, “Nah, mine’s pretty cool. I guess.” She complemented her. “Let’s me stay at her house.” The thought reminded her of something. “Oh hey, can you help out with the Haunted House this year?”

“Uh...yeah, sure if I must. One condition, I get to pick the theme.” She teased her sister.

“Yes!” She squealed, grabbing her hand and tugging her off as if she knew where she was going. “I want something flaming. Ry was talking about it before and I’m having some serious cravings.”

Ainsley guided them toward the bar, knowing her best friend was just moving to move. “How the hell do you get on a topic about flames?” She asked with a raised brow and half laugh.
