This was all for you.

This is a brain child of chatting with @the-darkestminds and @zenkindoflove. Something I struggled to wrap my head around was some of the details SJM mentioned (listed below) and why the releases are happening so close together.

We should pay attention to how she described the book:

“What I was writing felt right, like that was the story that needed to be told. And I decided I wasn’t going to approach this project from a traditional format of a book.”

“Why can’t we tell… like why do we have to stick to these boxes of like this is how you tell a story from A to B. Im like no, like what if we do something different?”

Can you tell us whose pov it is? “No. And that was one of the surprising things for me in writing this, and what came out of it… it’s like, you get a lot of insight into various things.”

This doesn’t sound like a typical standalone book, nor does it even sound like a dual romance POV or multi POV book like she wrote with TOG.

It sounds like the novella will be a collection of Elain’s visions.

Hear me out. This would be COMPLETELY different as she is suggesting, wouldn’t tell a traditional story from point A to B, and would give us various insight across characters and situations.

I’m picturing Elain is inside the visions. We learn about Koschei, we learn about Lucien and her bond, maybe we even get clue to HOFAS and what that means. Maybe her visions are memories. Maybe she can enter past, present and future. It would be non linear storytelling which is brand new for her. There’s so much potential.

It would inform the next book (1,000 pages) by providing us with important information needed to set it up. It checks off everything she said in the interview about how this is going to be unlike anything she has written before.

This concept is something thats been on my mind for ages and the fact that we were about to get an acotar book announcement had me drawing this within a few hours. I am so beyond pumped and have never been more confident in our Elriel endgame and the rejected mate storyline.

This silhouette concept came put so nicely and I think really captured the simplicity of Elain and Azriel’s bond and love. It came naturally to them when they have struggled their whole lives with duty and relationships. From the moment they met to the bond they formed in the garden in acowar I could see how their journey was leading to an incredible love story that I hope to start reading October 27 with acotar 6 then acotar 7.

The way this turned out definitely has me planning more. This would such a cool little series. Feel free to give me some ideas.

We are not reading it wrong, lovelies. We are reading exactly the way Sarah wrote. And this feels amazing, it’s like a shot of sobriety after years of gaslighting in this crazy ship war.

No. Sarah made it very clear last night that mating bonds are complicated. I’m begging people to dig deeper and hear what the author is saying.

If you do that and come back with “Well I think Elain will explore free will and the mating bond and still end up with Lucien!” then you are completely missing the point. Elain’s story will show the struggles that come with being mated to someone who isn’t truly your person and it’s going to be incredible.

it's almost like Azriel's bonus chapter is not the pinnacle of SJM's literary career and there is more to ACOTAR than the second part of the bonus chapter.

It's almost like you needed to read the books.

SJM didn’t set up a potential mating bond rejection plotline FOR ELAIN TO ACCEPT THE MATING BOND.

SJM didn’t have Feyre say “let’s focus on helping one sister [Nesta] before we start on the other [Elain]” FOR THE NEXT BOOK TO BE ABOUT GWYN.

No matter what way ACOTAR 6 release goes, we will not disrespect the author.

I honestly couldn’t have chosen a better time for the Cauldron-blessed seer’s story, and I really can’t wait to see more of the Archeron sisters witches, their bat lovers, and wraith friends.
