The picture says it all, well most of everything lol. The picture on the left was from the day I first acquired my hormones. The second picture is from yesterday is me 21months later after getting my eyebrows waxed. In These past 21 months I’ve seen so much growth, success, failure, happiness, sadness, and a slew of other things. Here I am now, new haircut that back then I was convinced I would never let myself get out of fear of not feeling feminine enough. A new sense and grasp of my womanhood and femininity, a timeline and action plan to surgery and the rest of my future. Since today is actually trans visibility day, here’s a mashup. On the far left was me 5 years ago doing the Ultraman pose in Japan for the first time in what was then 10 years since moving to the states. The picture in the middle was me a month or two in on hormones. Lastly we have the picture I took at the beginning of February when I had my consultation for breast augmentation. I realized my true identity during one of the most chaotic times in my life almost 4 years ago. Since that moment I’ve made it my mission to be the most authentic version I can be and that I was going to live for no one but me. I spent almost a year and a half research omg everything I could about transitioning. Starting changing my appearance and so forth. In August of 2017 I started HRT and my November the same year I started working my first job (at apple) since having a stroke 2 years prior. Here I stand now after over 20 months of HRT, on my course of having vaginoplasty and breast augmentation at the end of the year, happier and more accomplished than I’ve ever allowed myself to be. Despite the fact that I feel physically awful from this sickness that just won’t go away, I’m feeling super happy that tomorrow marks 16 months since the start of my medical transition. I honestly never thought I would be content with the way my Face is shaping up to be, not did I ever think my body would change as quickly as it has been. Life feels so much better with the correct hormones running through my body. It hasn’t solved all of my problems but it sure has boosted my confidence and outlook on life. It’s nice to feel like I have things to live for despite all of the bad I get dragged through frequently. Can’t wait to see how the next few months/years will change me for the better.
