Ohhh how exciting and they’d be a worthwhile investment too! My Jensens are super comfy I can walk around all day and not have any issues. I’ve had them since last April and I haven’t had them resoled or even heeled yet. I would advise against the suede and glossed leather Jensens though, from friends’ experiences they take a lot more looking after. 

But you’re right I think some styles do need to get resoled. My friend’s Clovers had to be resoled just because they were the stiched on soles? But I can’t quite remember if that was the exact reason…. 

I would say, if you’re investing in a shoe you know you’ll wear a lot, better to start looking after them from the beginning. You can look into getting some TOPY soles put on. They really help make shoes last, I’ve had them done on some boots before and they help add a bit more grip too which is handy!

I love the Bois! They remind me of a slightly more sleek and polished version of the Clover from a few seasons back. They were the ultimate everyday boot so I don’t think you can go wrong! I just checked online and they were on sale too! $300 (thats the price here) is really good for Acne boots. I bought all of mine when they were $900~ and I certain think they’re worth it in terms of price per wear even at that price. It really depends on you, your wardrobe and if you feel like you’ll get a lot of wear out of them.I wear my Jensens and Lomas on rotation everyday in winter and they go with everything. 

Because of the nature of the polished leather on the Bois they might show wrinkles where your toes/ankles crease no matter how carefully you wear them. I would advise against driving in those just because I used to drive in my Jensens all the time and now the right foot has significantly more wrinkles LOL! But get some good shoe oil/polish and give them a nice clean/condition every so often and they should be pretty good.
