Cars (2006)

Didn't see this film till last night, for me now it will forever be remembered as the first full length movie my toddler has sat through

This may not be the origin of the franchise but it was certainly the movie with which the die was cast. So much of what I love of the series can be found here: The ominous Jason as antagonist, a multitude of murder sequences and a favourite of mine, what I call Friday the 13th window break.

One thing I wish to mention, as a wheelchair user myself I find that the inclusion of the character of Mark and how he was portrayed in the the movie by Tom McBride, as well as the way in which friendships and relationships are shown shows what a consider a light and deft touch, a surprise due to the heavy handed nature of Slasher movies.
