“A huge crack of thunder woke me at 5 this morning. A rude awakening but kind of a wonderful one as well. Later while watching manic lightning bolts and bruised purple clouds own the sky followed by more booms, the line came to me “Thunderstorms don’t care if you’re sleeping.” That made me smile. Then I thought it could be a good metaphor for the people and events that enter our lives totally unexpectedly and quickly turn everything normal upside down for both good and bad reasons. The lover who appears out of the blue, the bad news you never expected from your doctor… Everything that was a moment ago isn’t anymore. “Thunderstorms don’t care if you’re sleeping.””
