To anyone who remembers the Miss Mizzle encounter from way back in the first of the Dark Sanctuaries, you may recall a certain snippet of dialog that alluded to someone we meet in person the following chapter:

and with similar manner of speech and refined composure, not to mention philosophizing on love and healing waters which restore your HP, Blue is almost certainly the "Bluest flower" of which she speaks.

if you were to abstract this a little it makes sense - a darkner based on Water, and a blue flower given human form would know each other, since Asgore would need to water the flowers.

... but Blue's connections don't end there.

I'm sure everyone noticed the allusions to Jevil's "World Revolving" line that several of the flowers mention by now... but what's that about a feathered pen and sword?

It wasn't the petal feather but looks like that "White pen of hope" isn't completely gone yet!

...and speaking of birds and flowers, I would like to remind you all that this ^ is encountered in the same room as the golden flowers from the determination experiments, after the mirror jumpscare.

In hindsight, the Dark Sanctuary connections make more sense when you remember the location of the integrity soul items, but it seems there's still more going on here that wasn't entirely wrapped up.
