Yes. That kind a prowwess.

The inactivity will probably pick up this week and for a while, or it’ll just be spotty. Why? I GOT PICKED TO EXHIBIT AND SELL MY ARTWORK AND COMICS!!!

Okay so you all probably know, since I spam this everywhere, I’ve always wanted to make comics. A few months ago I decided to sell my very first comic, a story about a very gory bloody dog inspired by my own pooch. (Not the first comic made, but the first comic sold at least.)

During said bazaar I sold over 30 copies (my goal was just 20!) and a couple of my professors came over and loved it! So they asked if I’d like to publish it in a zine (book? I still don’t know what it is) for women comic book creators in Puerto Rico, which one of the professors run. (I said hell yes of course.)

My comic got published and I’ve just signed the contract to have it in print and get a free copy of it (to take 10,000 selfies with and show it off to my family) and right as I got said contract, they invited me to a sort of art convention thing called “El Tintero”, in which you exhibit and sell your artwork. I didn’t feel confident at first, but while speaking to one of the professors during class, he said I definitely must sign up for it. The thing is, you have to sign up, and then they pick out all the artists they’d like to have there, so it’s a little stressful especially me, brand new into this comic book selling thing and absolutely no experience in selling my artwork and all, and started getting merch ready (hence my constant busy busy busy).

So I signed up, and during my last class my professor went on and on about how one shouldn’t feel down if they didn’t get picked, and how it doesn’t mean you’re untalented and whatnot. I don’t know if anyone from the class signed up too, but I know I started bracing myself for failure right then (seeing as I don’t take it very well to begin with). 

Well! Last night at 1:39am I received an email, with a contract attachment.

I’M GOING TO SELL AT TINTERO. I GOT ACCEPTED. I WAS ONE OF THE FEW ARTISTS PICKED. YOU GUYS I GET TO MAKE COMICS AND SELL THEM THERE!

But now here comes the actual inactivity part… I NEED TO GET MY MERCH READY. I plan on selling prints and pins, and I can get those easily, but I need to ready my comics in a better format (not to mention actually finish setting them up in that format). The activity isn’t ‘till March 15, but seeing as I’ll also be selling at the college bazaar this week, I need to get things ready now. 

So as for my rp blogs.

Vati (vvaticide) will be doing tidbits and will be npc’d by holydestruction, but he won’t be making grand appearances. I’ll be on him on/off but I won’t engage in emotion heavy roleplays with him.

Vriska (8oo8er) will have been in hiding and done some super secret huge looting thing top hush hush stuff. I’ll schedule posts for her.

I got 1 plot scheduled with someone for Vati, so I’ll still keep that one going. I’m super sorry that I have to be so iffy constantly on my activity. You’re free to send messages, I’ll read them and respond and the sort, but please don’t put any of my characters in any emotional drama roleplay. I honestly am stressed with real-life things as it is (glad as I am about them), and I need all the energy I have to make sure I do well in both the bazaar and Tintero, so I’ll really appreciate it you guys. <3
