I read this novel--and I call it a novel because it is, and belongs in every bookstore and library--almost every year, and probably rec it here whenever I do. Sorry, here I am again. I'm completely obsessed how they write about love, desire, romance, politics, family...what a true masterpiece.

(Although few years ago, it felt therapeutic to dive into it but now looking back, I can't believe how much better things were even then. What the fuck is this world now anyway. But I digress)

So please read it, because it's magnificent. And you know, usually I do not enjoy the pet name 'kitten' in a story, but in this one...? Makes me melt through the fucking floor holy shit give me more. 😭🔥🥵

I love the King, too! It was one of the ones which made me nostalgic just watching it that first time when it came out. Not sure how you can nostalgic when you never seen a film before but it was so moody. lol

it’s a comfort film for me idk why, it’s an underrated role of his for sure but i think it’s a film where he truly looks like a movie star.
