that they do this frequently is sad to hear, and it really seems the only reason they even bothered apologizing is because the op made a post about it that gained a fair bit of traction (it's at 4k retweets and over 20k likes as of me yap posting)

the post that got op blocked in the first place is extremely tame (considering how aggressive other players can be with their criticism), and the op is a relatively small account with very little posts so it's not a frequent troll or anything like that ╮⁠(⁠.⁠ ⁠❛⁠ ⁠ᴗ⁠ ⁠❛⁠.⁠)⁠╭

op is more forgiving than me for having the grace to accept the offi acc's apology, though whether or not they'll continue to spend on the franchise who can say

anyways, since the post started going around, more and more players are airing out their grievances with the game (chief among them is the heinous way their merchandise works and false advertising)

also recently found out that they ended up commissioning a relatively known artist for a theme song years ago, and he did finish it, but the game was delayed and when it released the song was just nowhere and also the official acc unfollowed him too???

the mention of the merch (and honestly how tkdb handles its monetization in general) is way too real though, like it's no surprise tkdb would rank higher in sales when it's one of the most blatantly cash grabby games (which is amazing considering gacha in general is already cash grabby as a genre)

insisting on selling apparel while locking the actual merchandise that fans do want behind spending a certain amount while not guaranteeing even getting the character you want is too on the nose (I still cannot get over the cards which are literally just panels from the comic portions so imagine spending all that money and you get a print out of an empty space with an sfx noise). in general corpos dgaf beyond the money they can get people to spend but the way the didara bocchi stuff is it's way too ridiculous lol
