he wanted to study you, feel the way your muscles move and poke and prod until he figured out everything about you

the fact that he found your face and figure divine was just another bonus

Stein flirting with you is such a foreign and strange concept

he's crass yet elegant, making you both blush and grin, strolling off confidently before you have a chance to truly think about anything he's said

your relationship blooms out of sly glances, red wine and slow dances

for a gaggle of awkward limbs Stein was surprisingly suave

most days when Stein got home from work you would be either lounging around his house or training in the back

sometimes he joins you, slipping his jacket off his shoulders, you both share a tango of sorts, bodies clashing, each honing your individual skills

other days he places his bag by the door and collapses onto the couch, you come over to him from wherever you were, kissing him on the cheek as you ask him about his day

Stein never thought the domestic life could be quite his style but he's found it very comfortable

but of course, going out with Stein comes with it's challenges

his connection to madness is a very apparent issue, yet you've learned fairly well how to calm him down over the years; during the war he worried you sick, disappearing for three days before he came home, head hung low, exhausted and drained

the first time you'd ever seen him cry was when he saw the fear and relief in your eyes

he didn't sob or yell, just collapsed into your arms, whispering to himself that he was home

towards the beginning of your relationship you also tended to find that Stein wasn't all that empathetic

he strongly believes that overcoming challenges is a personal issues and doesn't understand why you would need to turn to him for help

but that again is something you two were able to overcome with a lot of late night talks and some small arguments

Stein is no perfect soother but he is growing with you and that is all you've asked of him

once getting past initial bumps Stein is more than adequate as a partner

he adores you, mind, body and soul he is yours and yours alone

you're like a never-ending experiment, always managing to surprise, intrigue and even challenge him

most of your days are spent in the domestic side of life yet Stein is more than fine to spice things up every once in a while

private salsa lessons, weekend getaways at private cabins, private viewings of art galleries acquaintances of him run

Stein knows people and makes more money than he cares to admit, but the one thing he never seems to mind doing is using it all to spoil you rotten

he knows he isn't always the best at telling you how much he loves you so he's more than happy to show you

speaking of show you once Stein gets comfortable showing his affections you won't be able to get him off of you

he's always touching you in some way; his arms never leave your waist, his lips never leave your face and neck, he's sought permanent residence in your warmth

this of course is only in the privacy of your own home; at the DWMA or anywhere else in public he keeps a lazy arm around your waist or on the small of your back

despite what most would think Stein is actually an extremely passionate man

but now instead of performing experiments he has a new purpose; making you happy

Stein is loyal and protective

he trusts you fully, it's other men that can't keep their eyes to themselves that's the problem

he does not try to police you and what you wear no matter what; he's scary enough for the two of you, and if that's not enough, he can fight

in essentials, while Stein had his own personal troubles to contend with, if you both can overcome them together you can discover that he’s a great partner

you both live comfortably, trying not to focus too much on the future
