Here are new slides from John Kitchener about the Youthful/Ingenue essence!

Notice that Ethereals generally have elongated oval shapes while Ingenues have more rounded shapes.

She is Dramatic, Natural, and Romantic. Our Fashion Garden gives the DNR blend the archetype of "The Bohemian Queen", which is bold, relaxed, and seductive. Truth is Beauty gives the archetypes of "Sexy Amazon" and "Unconstructed Femme Fatale", which are sexy and imposing, but comfortable.

She is dominant Ethereal. Truth is Beauty says you might use the word "ancient" to describe them, but in the sense that they seem to be old souls. It's easy to imagine that they've traveled here from a far-distant time.

She is Natural, Ingenue, Gamine, and Romantic. Truth is Beauty calls the NIG blend the "Sweet Tomboy" and ​"Casual Mod", which combines girlish sweetness with boyish spunk, and is always relaxed and comfortable. Our Fashion Garden calls it "The Charming Scholar", which is casual, creative, and soft.

She is Romantic, Classic, and Ingenue. Truth is Beauty says the RCI blend is the "Prim Princess", and its best look is girlish and conservative, but also undeniably sexy.

She is dominant Gamine. Truth is Beauty says Gamine beauty is boyish beauty. The more boyish the clothes and hair, the more beautiful Gamines look. Surround them with traditionally female decoration like long locks, ruffles, and lavish jewelry, and they become less lovely.

She is dominant Romantic. Truth is Beauty says that other systems call this type sensuous, soft, or alluring, but are beating around the bush. The straight truth is this: Romantic beauty is sexy beauty.

Sometimes Classics are mistaken for Ethereals because of their oval faces. However, notice that Classics have balance whereas Ethereals have a more elongated and less grounded appearance. Some Ethereals have moderate Classic, which can make them appear more balanced, but generally, their elongation is more present.

Truth is Beauty says it may be the easiest type of visual feminine to spot, because it's the kind of feminine beauty heterosexual men are most interested in: it's a beauty we often see portrayed in popular culture. While TiB doesn't describe Romantic for men, we can view it as a lush, sensual, and sexy sort of beauty.

He has also said essences can change with weight. Natural and Romantic can turn into Classic with weight loss in some circumstances, but not all. The assumption is that weight loss reveals a more linear, balanced body structure.
