I created this blog to share my fitness journey. I have been into some sort of physical fitness my whole life. Sports in high school, 8 years in the Army Airborne and working in Law Enforcement have all given me a reason to maintain my physical fitness. I mainly cycle, indoor spin during the colder months and outdoor gravel bike during the warmer months. When I am not biking, I am doing strength training in the form of weight lifting mostly. I lift weights to maintain muscle mass and keep healthy as I grow older. I am not into heavy weights, PR's and all that stuff. I try to eat properly, but I also believe that one needs to enjoy life and that means being able to eat what I want as long as it is in moderation As I age, I have realized that my mental and emotional well being are just as important as my physical health. Like everyone else, my journey has its ups and downs. I go through periods where I struggle to find time to get it in and feel like quilting. I've had my fair share of illness and injury, yet I push on.
My favorite Tumblr fitness blogs are real people like me.....out here trying to make it happen no matter what life throws at them....working toward their goals, while raising a family, working full time, struggling to find time get it in(not that I want to see anyone struggle for anything).....I feel like I share my struggles and workouts, maybe I can be a motivating factor for someone else to get their sweat on, on a day they really are having second thoughts about getting off the couch......
Here you will find my daily workout as tracked by my Garmin Venu2s. I like to include what I call a "get yer sweat on" pic with my workouts. I encourage everyone reading this to "get their sweat on" a few times a week. I will also occasionally post a workout song of the day and a weekly recap of my fitness numbers as tracked by my Garmin.
Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy.....
