So my second spectacular thing was doing the Adam’s Peak pilgrimage in Sri Lanka. It has religious significance for Christians, Hindu’s and Muslim’s who all have lore surrounding it but it is often known for ‘Buddha’s footprint’.

I did it in three hours, which isn’t at all spectacular but I did have a chest infection. I got to spend a lot of time at the top with friends I had made that weekend, and it was a fantastic time or reflection of my own journey with religion.

Over the summer I lived in Sri Lanka on a mental health placement and have had the opportunity to travel to Pigeon Island, Trincomeli and go snorkelling. As well as sharks, there were: sea turtles, jelly fish, sting rays, shoals of fish and beautiful coral.
