What happened to the new board?
New board? Do you mean the 519punx.com message board? After the 519punx board was set up, as a replacement for the FiveOneNine board, which was run by a different group of people, it experienced a pretty significant drop in traffic (people starting new threads, posting, engaging in the kind of discussion that message boards are made to facilitate), to the point where weeks would go by and there would be maybe one or two new posts. The people in charge of that board, who were paying for it out of their own pockets, decided that it was better to shut down a board that nobody used rather than keep paying for what just an unused corner of the internet. I should probably say that I have/had absolutely nothing to do with 519punx board, aside from posting on there, though I do know the people behind 519punx very well.
As the traffic on there started to decline, I started this tumblr to try and preserve the show promotion section of the board, which I'll completely admit to doing a piss-poor job at. Hope that answered your question.

Just In Time The Potholes Lowly Minions Falsehoods Saturday, August 2nd @ Cork Hall 352 King Street West, Kitchener $5, 19+ Doors at 8:00pm
"This is about breast cancer - Angi’s breast cancer. For the past four years this gal has been fighting something which is now getting out of hand. After initial hope that a double mastectomy and hysterectomy would work in stemming the spread of the disease, now things are back to square one and we need some help. There are therapies that can help Angi withstand the worst ravages of the medications and strengthen her body for the battle ahead. These therapies are expensive - way beyond her family’s ability to finance. But Angi had a terminal prognosis - this beautiful young woman has the cards stacked against her.” So, a whole lot of folks have come together to to help raise some much needed funds. On Saturday, June 28th, from 3PM until 1PM at Club Absinthe, catch 13 bands for $10.00. Bands (in no particular order) include: Broadcast Zero, The Fallout, The Letdowns, Fire Next Time, The Rezentments, Gag Order, Come Out Swinging, Tank Abbott, The Vaudveillian, Artificial Dissemination, Hellbent Rockers, Warlord Messiah and Classic Sabbath Live. ————————————————— If you’re free this Saturday and want to see an awesome show, as well as help support a seriously good cause, come help my friend Ang raise money for her breast cancer treatments. She’s been fighting this for four years, and despite going through a number of standard treatments, it keeps coming back. Radiation, chemotherapy, and a double-mastectomy have done little to stop it, so she’s trying to find some alternative treatment for this disease. Come out to this if you can. Come see an awesome show (13 bands, including a rare Broadcast Zero and Class War Kids reunion!!!) and help support an awesome lady!
This Saturday!
