Summit number 3 in the books. Mt Glory. Summited this mountain hundreds of times of my life. But it never gets old or boring, especially when you're with your best mates.

I spent 8 hours yesterday sorting through thousands of tomatos. After a record cold temp of 17 degrees on 9/12 killed all of tomato plants. Which made me think about the tomato itself. Although in our collective conscious we define tomatoes with the characteristic red colour, the red color is actually a rare genetic mutation like different colored eyes in a human. it has only stayed because farmers selected this trait to be breed over and over again. And it is because of this selective inbreeding that tomatoes have lost all their natural resiliency to diseases, insects and cold weather. All varieties of tomatoes are almost genetically identical even if they different organic heirloom varieties, and completely different from the 16 native species they derived from. Just some tomato thoughts.
