“I think part of the reason why we hold so tight is because we fear something so great won’t happen twice”

Today I caught myself using the same words my mom always used while scolding my brother and I already make noodles the way she made, I hum slow tunes like her and part my hair in the middle- the way she always did and now I finally understand how we all become our mothers in the end.

Ibn al-Qayyim [رحمه الله] said:

I asked my sister today if marriage was worth it, the downfall, the thorns, the sacrifices was it all really worth it at the end.
