RULES.
01. THE BASICS. this blog is mutuals only, selective, divergent in some areas and medium - sporadic activity. if you are expecting a lot of replies then this might not be the blog for you! i also post a lot of ooc and headcanon posts, which i know isn't always everyone's cup of tea. you're more than welcome to not follow back or blacklist my ooc tag.
i am very multi-warden friendly and have a verse where kaja is a companion. i also love other inquisitors and would love to figure out a way to write with them all, if you're also dupe friendly.
if you don't have a fantasy verse i won't follow back. general fantasy is easy enough, but i haven't figured anything out for kaja outside of some vague modern verses and a wip scifi verse.
i don't always follow first. i'm very anxious and darpc is still very new to me. i'm still getting into the lore esp the dwarven lore for kaja. i'm more likely to follow people who are mutuals of my mutuals, but not always. sometimes it takes me months to finally follow someone. i just! get nervous about following people a lot!
if you don't follow back within a few days i will unfollow. i understand some take time to follow back but i'd rather not accidentally interact with your blog when we're not mutuals and you're mutuals only, it's kinda embarrassing ngl. if you unfollow, please softblock - DO NOT UNFOLLOW. i am also going to attempt to keep this blog low stress and keep the follower amount lower so if enough time passes with no interactions ( ic / ooc / reactions to posts ) i may unfollow -- of course sometimes it takes time to write together if you're not engaging in my posts at all, then that's another thing entirely. i don't want to be another mutual to add to the follower count. i am also not going to follow every blog my mutuals make and you also don't have to follow all of my blogs! especially if it's a fandom i don't know about or i just don't have a character that goes with them ( and vice versa ). if you have multiple blogs i'm also entitled to softblocking any of them and remaining mutuals on others, especially if as time goes by i don't see interactions happening.
02. MAINS AND AFFILIATES. i mostly practice mains and affiliates but i don't do exclusives. affiliates is someone who's intertwined in my characters development and characterization but aren't exclusives. i'm not against having multiple mains of the same character, as i see every version and dynamic different since everyone may see said character in a different way! however, i don't get in the habit of " collecting " muses, since i also personally don't like the feeling of being " collected ".
03. STAR WARS + MARVEL PSA. i have been in and out of both rpc's for awhile and i'm really not here for drama. i just want to write. i am a bit more selective with star wars blogs, just due to swrpc. mcu blogs i'll also be somewhat picky about but thats mostly in related to the fcs that make me uncomfortable. i am also very against whitewashed maximoffs, hydra and sabra blogs. if you don't explicitly state / make it clear your maximoff muses are romani then i might be a bit hesitant to follow first, since i've been surprised in the past to find what i thought was a comic-based but they used the mcu fcs.
04. PERSONAL BANNED FCS/FANDOMS/CHARACTERS. won't follow anyone who writes hp characters, multimuses will be on a case by case basis. any and all hydra muses, hydra!cap, n*zi affiliated muses, hp muses and hp verses, single muse st blogs. there's a lot of problematic face claims within the mcu that i just won't want to see on my dash, but i'm not going to list them all.
05. SHIPPING. i loooove shipping, i love ships !! and most of the time, it doesn't take much for me to ship something but i am usually a bit hesitant to message first, just due to normal anxieties and not being sure if someone is as interested as i am (i'm even kinda hesitant with shipping calls ... i just get nervous, okay!!). chances are if you ship it, i do too!! or the idea of it!! i just won't do any weird ships. i ship kaja with most of the dao romanceable companions but i will never pressure someone into it!! ( i'm actually quite hesitant to even suggest it to people because i'm shy/anxious about being perceived as force shipping or pressuring someone into it without meaning to ) i'd rather build the dynamic and if we feel like they're better as friends or a " never happened but there's lots of tension " then that's okay too! i will never immediately go for a romantic dynamic with them unless we've discussed it either in dms or through ship interest checks. i'm also okay with shipping with multiple versions of a character. like i said above, there's so many different concepts and takes on a character that if i were to ship with more than one alistair or (insert character name here) the dynamic may be completely different from the other one. i will typically only ship with a handful of versions of a character as i don't want my writing partners to feel they're "just another ship" or filling a wanted ship with no regard for the character/mun or the time put into the character.
romance worldstate is a wip but i am leaning towards alistair or zevran.
06. ACTIVITY. i am a neurodivergent person who deals with depression, anxiety, working full time, etc so i'm not always on. i don't even regularly do replies even though i want to, so sometimes it's just not going to happen. please me patient with me. if you genuinely need me to be consistently active this might not be the blog for you to follow and that's a-okay!! my reply lengths will also vary -- i absolutely can write a lot and used to write more novella but pre-indie i started cutting it down because my partners wrote less, but i'm looking to get back into writing longer replies. that being said, you never have to match length (of course don't reply with a one liner, but if i do multiple paragraphs i don't expect you to do the same or have the same energy).
07. NSFW AND TRIGGERS. i do not have triggers of my own but i will always try to tag them. my usual format is trigger cw or trigger //. i have a lot of mutuals so it's impossible for me to remember everyone's. if i ever forget just send a message on/off anon or dm me and i'll fix it asap!! nsfw content may also appear, including smut, but i am more selective about it. as a general rule, smut will never happen if a character is under 21. don't mind age gaps as long as both are adults, however, kaja in veilguard won't be interested in anyone under mid 20s, this is for my own comfort.
08. FREE PALESTINE. FREE GAZA. VERY ANTI-ZIONIST. FUCK ICE. do not follow if you're pro-israel. also absolutely no homophobia, islamphobia, racists, tr*mp supporters, anti-semitism, transphobia, jkr supporters, pro ai / use ai at all.
IC INFO.
kaja is the second child and only daughter of king endrin of orzammar. while her older brother is the next in line, he doesn't have the support of the assembly and everyone whispers about how she would get the vote and should be pursuing the throne. endrin has also been quietly trying to make her the next-in-line, right under everyone's noses. she's their fathers favorite, more well-liked around orzammar ... without meaning to be, kaja is a target and history will repeat itself in one way or the other.
kaja's mother ( a noble-born woman known for perfecting the berserker skills and having a specific interest in their ancestors and recovering lost thaigs ) died when she was a preteen during and expedition to recover a lost thaig from house helmsi -- the team were ambushed and kaja's mother eventually became a ghoul and left to waste in the deep roads. king maric and his son visited to pay their condolences, it also won't be the only time the princess meets prince cailan, but the next time won't be until after his father passes and he has taken the throne himself.
not long after becoming a commander of orzammar and leading warriors into a battle against darkspawn, her younger brother frames her for the murder of her to-be-king older brother and is exiled into the deep roads. but hope is not completely lost, as the grey warden duncan hadn't yet departed from orzammar and was on his way back to the surface.
VERSES.
dao. anywhere from her exile to the final battle. awakening. dao companion specific. still recruited by duncan but doesn't have much of a leadership role (until they get to orzammar). the other wardens decisions here may make kaja fight them or leave entirely, depending on how things go. kaja works VERY well into a multi-warden or companion verse but she will still become a warden and will have a lot of opinions about the decisions in orzammar. queen of ferelden. rules alongside b1uewraith's alistair. dai. having been searching for a cure for the calling, kaja will make an appearance once they locate the warden contact and they show up at skyhold. she will be an advisor of sorts and offer assistance and support for her fellow warden. she'll show up regardless of who the warden contact is and regardless if alistair is king or not. if the grey wardens are exiled, she will object but will ultimately go with them. go-to dai verse w/ inquisitors. dai inquisitor. version one - she's the inquisitor but almost all of her past as the hero of ferelden is kept as a secret until later on. the inquisition has to remain neutral and everything about kaja is political all the way into her birth. she'll later reveal everything prior to going to adamant. while the warden is assumed to be dead or missing, she pops up at the conclave as she still has a lot of pull with the chantry. [ inquisitor + the warden ] version two - this is based on kaja's companion dao verse which is essentially her being brought to ostagar but not being the warden but a companion of the warden. she doesn't have a reason to hide her warden past in this verse. this will be assumed when writing with other HoFs during inquisition.
decisions : claimed the inquisiton because it's right, charged with the soldiers, mages allied, templars disbanded, morrigan drinks from well, allied with grey wardens, truce at the winter palace, ally with the guardians, disbands the inquisition. details are tbd but this is kept within the inner circle. will assume medium-high approval relationships with most companions unless plotted otherwise. no canon romance. solas: tba.

origin: does not give in to bhelen's idea and refuses to kill trian.

initally sided with branka, branka then destroyed the anvil and ended her life.
bhelen rules: not at all due to them being siblings. she still hates him at this point. she puts him on the throne because he's the best chance at orzammar's future, even if he is very aggressive about it. he will forever remember what he did to his siblings and the only reason why he's on the throne is due to her. and being made paragon with her own statue staring down at him is another reminder.

notes :
eyes are very sensitive to the natural sun for awhile but well adjusted to and can see perfectly in the dark. she has a higher physical resistance and mental/magic resistance. and inspired by dnd, she also has a high resistance to poisons.
she's also sensitive to extreme environments and is always cold once she gets to the surface.
in her inquisitor verse : the orb of fenβharel triggers her dormant stone-sense due to it's ancient magic and raw lyrium. it gives her access to dwarven / stone magic, the ability to dream, a connection to magic + a connection to the fade with the potential to connect with a dormant titan. spirits will naturally be very curious about her and see her differently than other inquisitors, especially if they've never seen a dwarf before since dwarves aren't connected to the fade.
i've become very attached to the stone sense magic idea, so i'm also trying to work something out where it's not needed for her to be the inquisitor for it to happen.
