Gather the warbands!

The ‘hyper-violent’ Barghesi are an alien race referred to in various old codices and rulebooks for Warhammer 40,000. Information on them is scant, and to my knowledge there is no official visual media depicting them. Last year I decided to use this as an opportunity to conceptualise the race. What I ended up with was a race of space octopus-chimps the size of a large troll or ogre dressed as thought they were enemies from an id software game. So I hope you enjoy!

Curiously (or not I suppose) WD93 has the first 40K article in the Dwarf - the launch spectacular - and the last ever AD&D article.

(The only exception I have seen is no Sons of Horus… guess it’s easier to use the Luna Wolf colours and say you are a Space Wolf spin off than explain why you have the big evil eye on your heraldry.)

These seem like a much more natural expansion to Blackstone Fortress than the Ambull. I think these will get added before the Ambull

But they look fantastic! Somehow BSF didn’t appeal to me, even tho the gameplay looks fun! But those minis are really cool!
