the people that constantly complain about cal angel imagery in the zero day fandom did not pay attention to this movie at all are you kidding me?? people dont call him an angel because they genuinely think hes innocent, they call him an angel because thats the way the movie was depicting him. thats how he was depicting himself. his last name, gabriel, is symbolic of archangel gabriel, who is literally a saint. if you watch the post viewing commentary, ben coccio goes on a whole rant during the shooting practice scene about how cals hair looked like a halo. theres a reason people initially see andre as the evil mastermind, cal is a deceiving “angel”. he convinced everyone he was normal by being charming, meanwhile hes building bombs with his best friend (who was not as good as dissimulation).
