Well, I think it’s safe to say that all the albums that are coming out in 2020 are now out. (Taylor Swift, if you’re reading this: please, w
My top albums of 2020 post is now live! Check it out now!
I'm working on my Top Albums of 2020 playlist. I decided to get an early start because while I'm fairly certain what will be my favorite album of 2020, Razzmatazz by I DONT KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME, isn't coming out for another two weeks, I don't wanna leave it until the last second to re-listen to albums I first checked out muxh earlier this year. 2020 was a hell of a trip, I wanna make sure I get this right.
Follow up question:
Would people be interested in albums that did NOT make the list? Like biggest disappointments of 2020?

Listened to The Bastards by Palaye Royale and really enjoyed it. It feels like an album for now. Glad I preordered the vinyl.
Listening to Chromatica by Lady Gaga right now and its fine. Like the songs are good, but I'm not super blown away I guess you could say?

Back in 2007, still riding high off the recent release of The Black Parade by My Chemical Romance, I heard a new song that sent me running through the halls of my dorm trying to find out if anyone had the new cd by The Used, because I NEEDED IT. Unfortunately though I went to a school in the middle of nowhere Wisconsin and no one had it because everyone listened to country. Poor little emo kid me had to wait until I got home to the city to buy Lies for the Liars.
That’s a really long way of me saying The Used released their new album Heartwork today, check it out!
As we are all painfully aware of now, we are living in a whole new era since the Corona virus stopped life as we knew it, and this is especially true for the entertainment industry. Bands like All Time Low and Palaye Royale are navigating the new world of releasing an album while only able to promote it via online post
The weird new world of being a music fan in 2020

It's not the dystopian future we wanted, but its the one we got, may as well have a sick playlist.

If you need something to listen to while you work from home, self quarantine, buy all the toilet paper, may I recommend Joywave's new album Possession? It's fantastic!
You would have to be completely disconnected from the world to be unaware of the current corona virus situation. And if you somehow did manage that, I'm jealous of you, because I feel like I've been completely inundated with facts and opinions, rarely of much help. Today especially there has been a major push to lower

January was a hell of a month for My Chemical Romance fans, but luckily in hindsight, we can see the puzzle pieces and how they came together.

I think that good albums and artists won in the rock categories at tonight's Grammy Awards, but that doesn't change the fact that I feel like the RIAA is out of touch. Genres are an ever changing and evolving thing and they are not keeping up. Keeping the rock categories off the broadcast all together is ridiculous. Only recognizing the mainstream and not smaller, but equally, if not more talented is not a way to maintain legitimacy.
