     “Excuse me, have you lost your caravan?” A suspicious brow was raised as the witch folded her hands behind her back. While her face remained cloaked behind the hood, her voice was evidence enough that it was concern that made her question him. He looked no older than the last memory she had of Martha, her youngest sister – almost 15, 16, not even old enough to handle a pint of liquor. 

   Her eyes squinted at a document within his possession. ‘Strange, the symbol looks like the one on my invitation.’ The woman straightened herself, clearing her throat. “Ah-…” She turned her face, covering her mouth, murmuring an apology for the awkward transition.

Which is why the woman that suddenly approached him, asking him if he was lost didn’t at all surprised him, but he was by no means offended. “Oh no, I travel alone~” The swordsman laughs it off.

Turquoise eyes blinked in confusion at the mention of the letter he’s carrying. “Yeah! I’m here to take up a quest.” Confirmed the ravenette. Noting the ‘also’ that the cloaked woman said, Shiki guessed that she was also here for the same reason.

Today, Haruna’s getting excited for a donut shop (for a half-price!) he had, but they’re all sold out. But thanks to the help of DRAMATIC STARS, they’re having the best day ever!

EXTRA: These two hogging it out…

She’d really done it this time… Getting lost in a labyrinth with monsters in it… It could be worse. She had been rambling to herself as she tried to figure her way out, and, luckily, the other monsters had realized she was not one to be messed with. Being a “ravenous catgirl” was one way to live life, but it wasn’t like she meant to be “ravenous” at all. She was sweet as could be until you pressed the wrong button…

As she heard someone call out to her, she stiffened up. Listening to what this random guy with a sword said, she puffed up out of irritation. Quick to catch herself as her tail poofed up, she cleared her throat so as to distract herself. She’d already been offered a way out, so of course she needed to keep her head.

“I would like to take you up on your offer… Just being in here puts me on edge…” She was barely mumbling, before raising her voice suddenly. “But that doesn’t mean I don’t know how to defend myself!! It is so irritating when people see little me and think I either need saving or am an easy target!! I’m not and I can rip people to shreds if I felt like it!!”

“H-Hey, are you alright?! What’s happening to you?!” He asked gesturing to the tail and the way her hands are starting grow claws. “Where you already attacked? did a monster cursed you?!” If that’s the case, then they REALLY should get out of her. This girl needs an urgent cure!

Oh shit! He really did do it again… Though that was how he formed his band the first time around, Hayato was sure it wasn’t going to work a second time. Clapping his hands together and bowing his head, his moss-green hair obstructed his view as a flurry of apologies flew out of his mouth. “Dude I’m so so so sorry! I had no idea you were there at all!”

 He was pretty much panicking at this point. It was a new school and if this were to get out, he feared he’d be known as the fighting boy. That would totally suck! He could barely pack a punch behind his tears, unless of course, it was an accident. Just as he was about to give another wave of apologies, a familiar pitch of the stranger’s voice caught his attention. Peeking out one eye, Hayato couldn;t believe who he was seeing.

 There was no doubt that flashy hairstyle along with those cool piercings belonged to someone he knew all too well. “Shiki!” He called out in excitement as all the panic he had earlier had quickly disappeared, hands quickly curling up into fists in front of him. Was this the power of fate, or whatever the people here called it? Well, that didn’t matter right now because never had he imagined seeing one the the Jokers here at all.

 “So this is where you moved to! Shiki, we missed you! What’re you up to now?”

Ugh, he feels like his brain is shaking inside of his skull, but once he heard that familiar voice, Shiki was quick to recover from his disorientation. “Wait...is that...HAYATOCCHI?!” Readjusting his funky pink glasses, turquoise eyes clear up, finally seeing the face of his old band mate.

“HAYATOCCHI! OH MY GOSH, IS THAT REALLY YOU?!” The young idol then grabs the other’s face, squishing his cheeks between his hands as he examines every nook and cranny of the other’s plain-looking face. “IT IS! IT REALLY IS YOU!”

And with that, he captures the guitarist into a bone crushing hug. Swinging the shorter male around like a kids who got himself a new teddy bear. What a miracle this is, reuniting with one of his fellow Jokers here in Akounri of all places. The other probably has no idea of how much he misses them.

 School seemed the same as it was in Japan, except everything was well, not exactly japanese. That’s alright! This was what he signed up for and totally youthful! Kinda. Hayato wasn’t exactly lost as he wandered the halls, in fact he was looking for the bulletin boards for clubs. There was one goal for him, which was the same as when he entered high school in Japan. To start a band!

 Every school should have some sort of light music club in them, right? With determination burning in his heart, Hayato wandered the corridors hoping to find wherever club advertisements were posted. Boy, was that a bad idea. Somehow or another, Hayato found himself lost in the hallways of the new school and since the last bell had already rung a while ago, most students had already left. That was okay! He’ll find his way eventually. Maybe.

 The setting sun painted the walls orange, signalling the time to give up. Well, if anything he could start the band himself, just like he did a year ago! Yeah! Pumping himself up, Hayato threw a fist in the air in excitement. That quickly drained away as his fist came into contact with another person. Not again.

It was fun and all but, he felt like he just reverted back to his old middle school days. To think that he would go back to think same old daily cycle as soon as he left HighxJoker.

Ah man, he’s being all dramatic again. He really should stop doing that whenever he’s in school.

Classes has just ended for the day. Shiki was about to go straight home while everyone else has some clubs to attend to. Man, if only there was a light music club here, he would have joined in heartbeat. But then again, that would feel like he’s trying to replace his old bandmates. He can’t lie to himself by trying to find something to fill in that empty hole.

The bespectacled boy was about to pass by this brunet dude when the other suddenly swung his fist in the air, uppercutting Shiki under his jaw. His glasses gets knocked out of his face and he bends over in pain.

Work was always slow in the early hours. The live music -main selling point of this place- didn’t started until 9 and most of the staff, including the more skilled bartenders, came after 7. It was to be expected, considering there weren’t many costumers that would start drinking so early in the day.

Still, there were a few that would show up and take their couple of beers, so the bar made it a point of opening up at 4, even if only to start organizing the bottles and cleaning up the place… and of course, they needed their security to be there even if nothing interesting ever happened at this time.

He was rather used to be on guard for long periods of time, so he didn’t minded it all that much -even if he would certainly prefer for a fight to happen sometime. For now, he was resting his shoulder against the wall, feeling just a bit lazy.

The sound of sudden rain made him turn his face, confirmation to follow the slightly damp smelt he had felt earlier in the day. He blinked slowly, enjoying the sight of the transparent drops following one after the other and making puddles in the deeper spots of the street.

Mn? Silver eyes didn’t took long in catching to the figure of someone rushing close in the otherwise empty street. Moving away from the wall, he stretched to his full height and stepped closer to the door, ready to welcome the intruder.

“Hey… your identification” he called out, harsh and low, putting his body in the way of the evidently younger male.

Now that he’s finally indoors, the young idol shrugs off his back pack and makes a small gap with the zipper to take a peek at the kitten inside. It doesn’t look like it got all jumbled up with his school supplies so that was good.

Shiki nearly jumped out of his skin when he suddenly heard a gruff voice speak up. In one swift movement, the bespectacled boy zips his back pack closed and hides it behind his back as he turns to face the scary-looking tall guy that approached him. Is he a bouncer of this place? Wow, they really do look as intimidating as they are in the movies.

“A-Ah right! Hold on a sec--” He fumbles around in his pockets until he pulls out his wallet, taking his student ID “Will this do?” Shiki asked, tentatively handing it over to the man.

“Now before you say anything. Yes, I am underage, but I’m only here because I needed shelter from the rain, honest!” He quickly tried to explain, holding up his hand as if making an oath.

“A-a trap? Are you sure about that?”

Shiki could be right – this could be a trap, maybe someone’s trying to beat them to the punch by ambushing them – but Hiyori didn’t want to let this last chance slip by. Especially when she was low on resources.

“Well if its a trap, then we’ll have no choice but to go. Besides, you’re pretty good with that sword aren’t you?” Hiyori smirked, pink eyes glancing at the weapon resting on his back. “And I’ve got my fists. I’d say they’re the ones heading into a trap if they want to mess with us.”

Clutching the small paper in her hand, Hiyori nodded toward the exit of the town. “Let’s go! We don’t have a lot of time and I’m looking forward to getting my share of loot!”

Shiki will admit that he’s not exactly the sharpest knife, but you don’t need to be a genius to know when to be cautious! Not to say that Hiyori is not thinking this through and being reckless or anything, but this is just way too suspicious to just go along with so casually!

Before the swordsman can make any further protests, the monk was already walking ahead of him. “H-Hiyori! Hey! Wait uuuuup!” In the end he had no choice but to follow her

The party finally arrives at the cave’s entrance, the nervous expression on Shiki’s face came back and is much worse than before. “I really think this is a bad idea...” He mumbled before letting out an exasperated sigh. Pulling out his sword, Shiki steps forward.

“Let’s just get this over with, I’ll go first.” Said the swordsman as he stands protectively in front of female.

They slowly made their way inside, Shiki was looking around on high alert. The deeper they went the darker it got.
