Yesterday I pulled this piece of glass out of my arm. It's been embedded just below my elbow since new years eve of 2014/15. This came out of my arm after coming to grips that I am a liar and relinquishing the idea the hiding your vulnerability makes you stronger. I've realized that I was given this lie a very long time ago and that only now have I realized how weak it has made me. I've lied to myself and led others to believe I was something I wasn't. With this I admit the bucket of lies and broken promises that I've consciously and sometimes inadvertently fed others. Those closest to me throughout the years have suffered the most, because they could see the lies I was living that I couldn't see for myself. I've been enslaved emotionally to ideals I never held as my own but have been unable to let go of for years. I'm now focusing on the path to emotional freedom. Learning what love truly means and accepting yourself for who you are. Flaws, mistakes and all. I've made more eternally damming and fatally tragic mistakes in the past 3 years than ever before. As someone seeking to look in the mirror and see a man rather than a boy, I understand now the pain that I have caused others. This is because after years of being numb to most emotions I've finally learned what it feels to have your heart broken. What makes my situation difficult to deal with is that I did it to myself. I followed a path with no heart, sacrificed a relationship and shattered my own soul. Knowing now what that feels like I can understand the consequences that I've rendered. How I've pushed people away and erased myself from the hearts of people that once trusted me. For some the bridge is long burnt. For others I hope to extinguish the flames and repair whatever damage I can. Until I can right the wrongs within myself I cannot repair the relationships I've damaged, but I'm working now on bridging the gap to myself. Accepting that every mistake isn't a reason to beat myself into a negative state of crippling fear and self doubt but a new opportunity to do better and be better is a concept I have difficulty grasping because I've been self destructive for so long. This is as close to landing anything as I got at the #denverskatepark if you don't have soft wheels is like riding around on metal ramps, no grip at all. I got some mean power slides but nothing on video. #scooterkidssuck they were everywhere (at Denver Skatepark)

If you know then this is redundant if you don't then please toss me a line. I saved up enough money to get to California. I started the gfm account as a back up plan. I fell off the bike between Nashville, TN and Asheville, NC and lost all the skin on my left butt cheek. The injury caused me to have to stay in Asheville for 10 days longer than planned. I had a great time there despite the bloody cheek thanks to my friends and hosts @ieatthefunk and @t_ncrumpets. Lucky me @mangela.athis even came to see me there to make sure I was ok. However this extended stay destroyed my bank account because Asheville is about as expensive as New York. Between food and first aid supplies I got boned. I'm down to my last $100 and with my bikes fuel mileage I need $110 to make it to Cali. I've had a lot of help along the way, especially from Angela, but I need some love if you can spare it. $10 fills my gas tank and I'm eating about $7-15 a day depending on how expensive each city is. If you know how head strong I can be you know it makes me sick to have to ask for help. I'm not too proud or arrogant to know that I need help now more than ever.
