Enzo Necker Kit Commercial kydex sheath for the Enzo Necker modified with some paracord that servers as a belt loop as well as fixation for fire steel. Several strips of bike tubing fix a whistle and a small dog tag mirror with a SOLAS patch. Still experimenting…
Failed keychain options. I like to keep the car key and work related keys separate from my “real” keychain with knive, lamp etc. So I tried severaI options for this second setup, but apparently both the S-Biner as well as those flexible steel rings can’t take my abuse (I occasionally play around with this keychain in my pocket, especially at work). The S-Biner failed me first, because the spring eventually gave up after the constant fumbling, and I lost keys on several occasions. Then I went through two steel cables, both of them first fraying and eventually breaking… Now I just use a small length of Technora cord tied to a loop, and after about a year or so it still hasn’t failed. Really strong stuff…

EDC?
I see a lot of posts here on tumblr and everywhere else that say something like “my EDC today”. And often this will make up a whole blog by one and the same person, every picture with different knives, flash lights, key rings etc. Maybe I don’t get it, but doesn’t the term “Every Day Carry” imply that you Carry something Every Day? To me this would mean the same exact items, being carried every day. Everything else feels like fashion choices, like trying to match colors or something. But maybe I don’t get it…

I hope the other guy doesn't bleed to death while you try to peel off ranger bands and unravel the cord to finally reach the quick clot... ;-)
Ceramic Razor Blade (CRB) Zr02
Originally designed as a low profile, non-metallic last ditch blade, it can due to its small size be a little tricky to work with as a cutting tool.
I use it primarily as a firesteel striker. Simply strike the ferro rod / firesteel along the spine or sides of the CRB to produce with accuracy extremely hot sparks.
Adding a piece of duct tape will provide some extra grip. You can leave the blade exposed or if preferred reverse and expose the spine. I’ve left the blade and sides exposed so it can be used as a cutting tool and firesteel striker.

Those ceramic blades might break though when carried in your belt...
Photon failure - again
Although I love my Photon Freedom Micro, I have to say that I'm starting to get a little frustrated: A while ago one of them ran out of power, and when I changed the batteries, it just wouldn't turn off. Constant glowing on full brightness, no way to stop it unless you take the batteries out. Ok, so I ordered a new one and put the "broken" one aside. From time to time I put the batteries back in, but still no luck. But then, after weeks or months just lying there, all of a sudden it worked perfectly fine with a battery inside. Whatever. But now the exact same thing happened with the new one. Am I crazy, or is this weird? Anyone else familiar with those problems?

So whatever happened to this compass? No good?

Lanyard for my SHARD (knock-off?), with one of the connectors, some tubing and thin paracord-like, well, cord.
Got a sh*tload of break away connectors from ebay for some lanyard work...
Mini Personal Care Kit A while ago my Coghlan’s All Weather Wallet fell apart and left me with the two indivudual pouches. Those make great containers for mini kits which I carry in my shirt pocket on longer walks /day hikes or sometimes even in my suit jacket when the need arises. You can cram quite some stuff in there, e.g. assorted band aids and alcohol wipes for small wounds or blisters, wet wipes and tissues, duct tape, cash…, and everything can be carried more or less water proof.
Pulled out my SQUIRT PS4 from the key chain this morning and found the spring of the scissors to be broken off. Very disappointing after only modest use every other week…

Tubes similar to those available at Law Industries, but with the lid connected to prevent loss. I use them to hold single uses of povidon iodine for my first aid kits.
Mini Stash Tube (MST)
The MST is ideal for carrying and protecting small items.
With the Zero Dark Locator Disc installed inside the cap it assists with locating the MST in complete darkness. After exposure to light (white/UV) the ZD Locator Disc will glow for 18hrs+.
○ Airtight
○ Waterproof
○ 100% non-magnetic
○ 100% non-metallic
Shown here with mini light sticks.
Available soon via OscarDelta SPD
These can also come in handy for other applications: I carry them in first aid kits for single doses of povidone iodine (just 2 ml, but better than nothing). Other non-tactical uses: you can put some breath mints in there and stash it in a suit pocket for instant freshness before a business meeting!
