P8. Perception Vision Board
This project explores the challenge of completing a task while removing one of our senses—in this case, touch. I focused on the experience of grocery shopping when hungry but unable to touch anything. The act of walking through aisles, seeing all the food but being unable to physically interact with it, highlights the tension between desire and restriction.
P9. Installation Ideas
P9. Installation research
When thinking about my art installation, I want it to feel like peace—like coming home. I’m imagining soft, warm lighting, like the golden glow of a sunset or the flicker of candlelight, to create a sense of calm and safety. I’d use materials that feel familiar and comforting, like wood or soft fabrics, to make the space inviting. Maybe it could have cozy corners or open spaces that feel welcoming, almost like a hug. I want the lighting to highlight small, personal touches like objects that carry stories or feelings of nostalgia, so the space feels grounded, like it’s holding you in a moment of calm.
P9. EMOTION
"Windows to Warmth"
This installation is a reflection of a cherished moment of peace and calm during a trip to Tennessee. Inspired by the memory of sitting near a cabin window on a cold day, wrapped in blankets with coffee, headphones, and a sketchbook, I’ve recreated that sense of warmth and tranquility. Through the use of soft, warm lighting and familiar textures, the piece captures the contrast between the crispness of the outside world and the cozy sanctuary within. It invites viewers to pause, breathe, and connect with their own moments of quiet contentment and comfort.

i want to stick with something simple while also including something i create from my own hands. therefore, i will stick with my first idea (longing) as i think it's the less time-consuming, yet the most coolest idea i can do. i plan on doing this in the outdoors and hang fabric on a tree, and place a sculpture right in the middle while the fabric somewhat covers the sculpture.
p.8 emotion
"We are One"
I chose the emotion "longing" for this piece. This represents a personal memory of mine when I went through some past situations that affected my [romantic] relationship: the craving to be next to them and to keep them forever with me, although it sometimes felt one-sided.
I made a sculpture [out of air-dry clay] of two people fusing together, their hearts (the red), minds, and bodies mixing as if to create one being. I also decided to use red and lilac purple fabric since they are the representative colors of longing and/or passion, and the size of the fabric compared to the very small sculpture details how overwhelming these emotions are in hindsight. Emotions can even dictate our mindsets and attitudes towards the entire world. It is one of our drives in this world.
At first, I thought of installing this in an empty room, but I wanted to give the piece some extra meaning. Hence, I moved it outside and installed it on three palm trees that were growing together. It is meant to say that this feeling of longing is natural; it is part of us. Everyone has longed for something or someone at least once in their lives.
For something that comes from within us, it surely is more powerful than us.
materials: - wire - red/lilac sheer fabric - air-dry clay - acrylic paint - pliers

INSTALLATION RESEARCH
For this project I want to work with the many rolls of dating paper I have from class. I want to be able to capture “QUANTITY”. I plan to lign them up, maybe by height and take a video from capturing the angles.
Installation Ideas
Idea 1: Open the paper rolls, and have them hanging from the r crimping using string and tape.
Idea 2: Make a walkway with the paper rolls with some rolls serving as follows and others on the floor flat.
Idea 3: Make a monument out of the rolls.
P.9 EMOTION
Artist Rolls
For this project I compiled the rolls of sketches from my drawing class to create a small installation. I knew I had one drawing, my first drawing this year actually, of a fashion figure in the dark, and I wanted to make the in the dark with it as the center. I had two larger unruly roles of brown paper that I arranged one standing up and one to the side, and it gave the piece dimension. The emotion (kind of) I wanted to come from and that I personally get from this piece is “repetition” “pride” and “mess”. These papers sit in a section under my television and every week I bring new ones in, it gets very messy but looking at it every evening gives me pride as an artist.

P9 installation ideas
The first idea is what Covid was like for me when it first began and I was stuck home. The second idea is how I feel in my room when I’m just chilling and playing games. It brings me joy and almost like nothing else matters. The 3rd idea is fear, and I’m doing it about an old dream I had. I’m very afraid of bugs and being stalked, hence the eyes on the wall and floor.
Installation research
My final idea will be turning my room to reflect how I felt during the pandemic closure and feeling isolated. My room with be dark with multiple rays of lights, as well as objects discarded all around
