Mad Dog

Majima was used to going atop tall buildings and thinking, yet it was rare to come upon someone else unless they were out to kill him. It would be impressive if there was a hit out for him before he’s even had the time to adjust to the city again but, hey, it certainly wouldn’t be the first time. 

Still, he didn’t have the energy to get up from his position, sprawled out and staring at the sky.

Perhaps it was fate. Perhaps they’d just gotten lucky. Or perhaps Majima had somehow unlocked a sixth sense for always ending up being where someone he was stalking ended up at. Probably that last one, though he wouldn’t give away trade secrets like that.

His gaze flicked up from the hefty meal he’d managed to acquire from the burger joint, one-eyed gaze locking onto the man from across the building. Surely Majima would be noticed by attire alone. It was hard to not stand out when you dressed like him on the casual.

“Oi, oi. You’re lucky I hadn’t started eating yet. Order somethin’ and get over here already.” 

“Kyaa, I keep ending up back here but I can never figure out where th’ hell I’m going.”

It was certainly annoying trying to get a lay of the land, especially given that he wasn’t sure if the island had genuinely changed since his last visit or if the years between them just skewed with his memory. Either way, it was giving him a headache. And so onto the bench he collapsed, spilling over the back to land upside down on the seat in dismay. 

At least the benches were nice.

“Oii, watch were you are going.”

The damn place was crowded with NPC losers and D-list idiots as it is, and he didn’t want to accidentally detonate someone.

“Oi, oi, it’s not my fault ya don’t stand out.”

Normally, Majima might have been nice to kids. Though this one rubbed him the wrong way. 

Took him long enough. At this point, Majima had almost assumed the other had entirely forgotten about it!

“Oi, oi. Haven’t I seen ya somewhere before?” 

It wasn’t often he knew people here at a glance. So many faces and working on getting his footing here had left him impartial to getting to know too many. Of course, his many ventures out for leisure did leave him finding a few he could recall. Where had he seen the other...? 

“Ah, that’s it! Ya were at that one party ol’ Vic-chan had, weren’t ya? Y’ know, the one uh.. dang, forget what the ol’ loon was celebratin’ but he invited his ‘good friends’.”

“You underestimate the power of a teenager with no sleep schedule!”

“I can fix that-!”
