“No. I uh, think I understand air fresheners. I mean, I think.” That’s a very tough one. Still didn’t really get the purpose. But that wasn’t the focus of his thoughts. “Why is it that…there are bruises on people that shouldn’t be there.”

Oh -- shit. Parker had no clue how he was gonna go about this. Mckenna would probably know what to say, but Parker? Not so much. So, he winged it. “Ahm -- well.” He said before reaching up to rub the back of his neck. “Sometimes -- mortals can be assholes. They lay hands on their so called loved ones when they shouldn’t -- It’s a more physical form of control and manipulation. You should never lay your hands or hurt someone that you love -- that should just be a thing ingrained into the human mind. But sometimes people are assholes and decide to take it out on others.”

“N-No, I just need this explained.” He almost got yelled at when he was at the store and it really just bothered him that he still hadn’t gotten his question answered.

“Need what explained?” Parker hadn’t been around when he got yelled at at the store. So, pausing with putting groceries away, he looked at the male. “The air freshener thing -- or something else?”

“We like to say that we’re just the same person, but split in half. She got the artsy quiet behavior and I was always the disruptive kid in school. She’s quiet and I’m loud. Mariah’s a pretty good artist actually. I mean, I didn’t go to college after high school, dove straight into the scene. I guess it’s pretty intense. But what about you?”

“I was more like your other twin -- just quiet and mostly kept to myself.” Though that was mainly because he was always taking care of Seline -- so, he had to keep his mind focused on her most of the time. “I didn’t go to college -- graduated high school early. I’ve just been working and trying to support my sister and I.”

“I mean, there’s that phrase ‘Lady in Red’. Must have came from somewhere. Aww! I have a sister who loves larks too. Actually my twin, believe it or not. I’ve been doin’ it since I was seventeen, actually! Been in a few bands till I started solo work.”

“A twin? That’s pretty awesome honestly -- a few of my friends are twins. Seventeen? Holy shit -- and you’ve done that much? That’s intense. Impressive -- but also intense.”

“Cardinals are such show offs, I think that’s why I like them. Sparrows are just so pretty and tiny. Don’t think I’ve ever seen a lark. That’s a really nice name. It’s a pleasure.”

“They are kinda show-offy. Sparrows are nice and pretty -- Larks are pretty tiny too. My little sister Seline loves Larks. They are just tiny brown birds. So -- how long have you been doing singing, if you don’t mind me asking.”

“I mean, I’ve gotten a few things. Angel is one of them but I mean, never as anything really ‘genuine’. I always liked sparrows. I’m rambling, sorry. Kaylee.”

“Sparrows are pretty birds. I’ve always like cardinals -- sparrows and larks too. Those are my favorites. I’m Jon -- Well, Jonathan. It’s nice to meet you kaylee.”

“It’s not a problem. I’m sure you hear shit like ‘you sound like an angel’. Not that you don’t -- but songbirds sound a lot nicer than angels. Birds singin’ are nice to wake up to.”
