my parents have been doing this bullshit where i cant have any screens in my room at night not wven a phone, and its been a problem for us because we need a phone to remember stuff or we'll forget because System, and for some reason the family therapist agrees i dont really need to have a phone in my room
i cant use a notepad or whatever because i have too much to write down and writing gets tiring for us quickly and typing is much more sustainable. and also this rule (which has been happening for 9 months so far) has made us split i wanna say 15 new alters so far. not fragments, full Guys. this is perhaps not a very good and helpful rule
the rule was actually originally implemented to help w my sleep schedule (which was bad because some of us didnt want to exist or front around our parents or when they were awake at all) and it just made it worse (because the issue is that the "family bullshit"-handling parts are different than the "life stuff"-handling parts and the few "actually maybe good stuff"-handling parts that we have, so now the guys they wanted to see more of are super unwilling to front)
also the therapist doesnt seem to quite understabd any of our system stuff. she said like "i wanna get to the [alter/part] that's so against these rules" like honey no. thats all of us. you're pushing away the parts that you want to see more of. by treating us like a child, those of us who are more competent than that will eventually get fed up and hide away. ugh
edit: brooooo what the hell they just decided w/ no warning that i had to leave the house to pay off screen time now
edit 2: and now they decided that i have to be done paying off screen time debt before 8pm??? because they didnt like that i stayed at my friends house for like 24 hours straight
i should make a timeline of these bullshit changes
im going to go insane, they just said that if i sleep over at a friends house to pay off debt, that the morning doesnt count since they "don't know when [i] wake up" and because "it's not okay for [me] to sleep off my debt"
they literally changed this without telling me at all, and now they want me to leave the house for another hour and a half even though i just spent 21 hours outside the house. what the fuck

there seems to be just a huge niche of people online that really need/would greatly benefit from the framework of plurality but are afraid to claim it. which i understand because me too i doubt it for myself a lot. but i think there are a lot of us who don't really meet the criteria for DID or OSDD yet would still benefit from viewing ourselves as actually multiple selves. and perhaps a substantial number of us will later find out they meet the criteria for a diagnosis about it but i think we need to be less caught up on "do i meet this criteria" and instead focus on "what will be helpful to me". which may include resources for people with DID/OSDD, or may not.
hindsight is so funny like yeah hi my name is john singlet you can tell im john singlet because i have no sense of identity, no consistent gender pronouns or name, no consistent interests tastes or artstyle, am constantly forgetting things or dropping activities after getting "bored" midway through, randomly remember traumatic memories and then forget them again, sometimes feel symptoms of certain disorders much more or less, and regularly hold full conversations with fictional characters mentally. sometimes i think "man itd make so much sense if i was a system" which is very bad to think and just cannot ever be true because i don't notice hard walls of amnesia where i abruptly cannot remember anything and i don't ever find myself in the middle of nowhere with no recollection of how i got there. im sure if i just keep trying to construct a solid personality one day it won't sometimes feel completely suffocating π

being a polyfragmented system is basically just being someoneβs fucked up tomodachi life save. except you can have as many βmiisβ (members) as you want . and you can be gay

then, you discover a few places you were not privy to, but that have running headcounts, with an extra population of unknown headmates and fragments that is comparatively small in theory. okay, add the running headcounts, it's okay we don't know them, just keep A Number, and we can mentally handwave that small population and they'll all turn up eventually, surely.
... then discovering a new place (the structure of itself being its own headmate, so everyone inside the structure is living inside a headmate, but that's a whole other story) that's been growing in population since some indeterminate time in preschool, and is still gaining new people. there could be hundreds down there. there is no headcount, the headcount is functionally infinite because of the circumstances.
and, at last, sighing and going "fuck it, you only get added if you have a minimum of two of the following: a distinct name, a distinct form, a distinct voice, and/or a distinct desire to engage in our internal communities necessitating notation for others' reference."
