hi op here and the issue is that south east asians found it offensive, not just a random white person. Listen to voices of marginalized people. And the context in GB is still offensive, you don’t get to tell an oppressed group of people who were colonized & had their food & spices stolen from them that they’re overreacting. It was not just a chant about food, and reducing it to that erases the conversation.

just a handful. I also saw several from Europe and Asia speak on it as well.
Using it as a war cry is problematic, and this issue was never handled with the proper scope it should have been, leaving any Southeast Asian fans unheard and disrespected.
