“I really had no idea. They barged into my house in April, brought me happiness, and now gave me this award. Thank you so much. I’d like to thank all the production related staff… also, I like to adress them not as “hyungs” but as “my members.” I’ve always been scared, afraid and nervous doing a variety show, but I’m so happy to be together with my members. When I was serving in the military, I was longing for this moment so much. I’ll accept this award as you telling me to do better. When you search my name online, “not funny” pops up as related. I’ll set my goal in getting rid of that. I’ll try hard to live up to the expectation of this award. If you call me Takgu, I’m Takgu, and if you call me Donggu, I’m Donggu. As Donggu, I’ll let go of myself and try my best to make you laugh. Thank you.”

“I thought about it a lot. I thought it didn’t make sense that I was nominated for this award. I got the award that I don’t deserve at all. Thinking back, many things came to my mind about the last nine years. Jaesuk hyung introduced me to variety shows, Hodong hyung helped me, and lastly, Taehyun hyung also was of great help for me to be here. I’d like to thank all of them. When I was having a hard time, Na Youngseok PD believed in me. Thank you. I want to thank all the members and staff who went through a lot during season two. About season three, to be honest, everyone was skeptical… except for Yoo Hojin PD and Seo Sumi PD. When I joined the third season, I was not very welcomed actually. Though I started that way, I can’t believe I got this far and got the award. Yoo Ilyong PD is criticized a lot these days and having a tough time. I want to cheer him up. And… I’d like to thank my members. Junho hyung, Donggu and Defconn hyung. I rely on them a lot. Although he is not here, I miss Joonyoung, too. Also, when I said making Kim Jongmin Special was going overboard, the writers including Jung Sunyoung convinced me. I really appreciate it. Just now, my mentor came here. It’s Shinji. I’m grateful to Shinji since I came this far thanks to her. I think my friends and the viewers really wanted me to receive the Daesang more than me. I’d like to give this award to all of them. The staff from my agency: Byungjae, Hyunjin and Inseok. Thank you so much. And my stylist, Jaewoo and Donghoon. Thank you. Hodong hyung. I wish you were here with me. I hold you in the highest respect. Sugeun hyung, thank you. I love all my colleagues. I know I’m not good enough. Seunggi is in the military now and I miss him. Even though I’m not good enough, my colleagues are always supportive of me. I’d like to thank all of them. The directors and my mom. My mom and sister, I want to thank them. I’d like to thank you all for this wonderful award. Be happy. Thank you.”
