I’m writing this down now since everything is still considerably fresh in my mind. (And I am now also feeling considerably fresher after a shower.) Tbh it was all a really really REALLY surreal like WOW i’m seeing these people beings who actually EXIST with my two own eyeballs these are the subjects of all the fics i’ve ever read these are the people who’ve made me cry countless times wow wow wOW.

Hiii, so I paid 300+ bucks to watch a Louis-focused concert, and it was worth every single goddamn dollar. I won’t bother with too much details of the airport meeting for the band since there wasn’t much to tell, so I’ll just continue forth to as many concert details about Louis. 

Because Louis is my father.

[Note: my only past experience of a “concert” is their Orlando’s performance of the Today show and NBC special so my review may be slightly naive/biased towards OTRA.]

Louis was light (cough morning light). He truly was a bouncing little peter pan, bounding the stage from left, right and center— nothing like I’ve ever seen him performed in many other concerts (and I’ve watched so many videos from WWA and OTRA).

He was so confident, and happy. It was blinding. Breathtaking. I couldn’t stop grinning the entire time as he seemed so thoroughly comfortable being on stage, never really tugging on his shirt or his pants. Just ricocheting around like a little energized child. 

There were so many moments where he sang a lot louder than the other boys and his voice was individually picked up by the microphones and completely encompassed the entire stadium. It was truly my death.

Again, to reiterate those points: I’ve never seen Louis this happy to perform at a gig. Never. The amount of times I’ve managed to catch him on camera joking with the other boys (although there were plenty where I couldn’t because my camera was being anal), smiling so wide his cheeks must have hurt and those shtinky/shpine/shmile jokes were so frequent!

Also, I’m pretty sure he’s got two more inside jokes with Niall and Zayn. One’s a play boxing one, and I’ve got no idea what’s the other but they were almost shitting themselves from laughing.

HE ALSO JUMPED SO MANY TIMES. A TRUE PETER PAN.

At the end of the day, the rumours that are circulating doesn’t matter because fact is: Louis is happy. He’s exuding an infectious kind of happiness that even though I was so far away, I felt it. That’s fucking amazing. Louis should always be happy.

I also forgot to add that he was very sweaty. He kept wiping his hair with a towel and it’s like how a bunny cleans their ears??? Yeah, THAT. Shit.

I went to the Singapore concert, I saw that Louis William Tomlinson is real!!

Yes, he waved and smiled at me but instead of recording that, I smiled back at him like a retard 😂😂

All I can say is that after this concert, my love for him has deepened more.

Basically, he’s a human teddy bear ❤️

So, while this was my first OTRA show, I was fortunate enough to go to 7 WWA tours. And since they are so similar I feel okay with comparing them.

(I was also first row so I saw tons of interactions)

I HAVE NEVER SEEN THEM SO FREE AND HAPPY BEFORE

1. Louis & Liam jokes around the ENTIRE time 2. Louis seemed a lot more just confident 3. Everyone was dancing and smiling whenever I looked over at them 4. Same typical speeches but that’s okay 5. You could feel the energy of them loving what they do

In the past I only felt the energy from Harry and Liam, and sometimes Niall. But I still felt like they were just doing their job, a job they didn’t love & wishing they were else where. But tonight they really proved how much they love their job.

Disclaimer: tbh, I would have spent less than 5 minutes total watching Niall/Zayn/Liam last night (and at least 4 of those minutes were spent mesmerised by Zayn’s ethereal beauty…) so suffice to say this concert report will be Harry & Louis focused. I attended with my sister who I have recently converted into an avid 1D/HarryandLouis supporter. We had two pairs of eyes solely on the boyfriends for the entire show and we have conferred to ensure I write about everything we both noticed. This will get long so interesting things are in bold for your skim reading convenience.

Last night was absolutely magical! I went to the concert in my ‘Safe Spaces For All’ Rainbow Direction shirt and was noticed by a few people and two girls actually came over and started talking to me after noticing my shirt. I didn’t see any of the other Rainbow Directioners but I’m sure they were there! I didn’t take any photos or videos though because iphone batteries suck!

First off having the boys so close was so amazing I nearly died. I spotted Teddy Mercury straight away as well and that made me so excited!

I was so happy to see Harry and Louis singing next to each other at different times and sitting back to back when they all sat down. All of the boys looked tired but they were really loving it, especially Harry and Liam. Liam has this most precious smile on his face whenever he’d ask us to sing and Harry was just dancing like the goof that he is and interacting with the crowd the most. Liam kept going and taking hats and stuff from people in the crowd and wearing them.

Someone threw a bra on stage and Harry asked if she wanted it back and gave it back to her. (what a cutie) Liam went around wearing a bottle-cork hat and looked so dorky and adorable. Niall came out in a Bronco’s Jersey (Aussie team) and started talking in a really okka australian accent.

Louis kept pulling silly cross-eyed faces when singing and it was so cute. Zayn seemed a little quiet but his hair and his high notes were on point. I went silent every time he went to sing, same with Louis’ solos.

Harry sprayed water out of his mouth and it was majestic, his nipple popped out at some point too because that shirt covers nothing and i love it. He put his hair in a man bun and it was beautiful.

NIALL’S CROTCH GRAB! JESUS TAKE THE WHEEL THAT WAS THE MOST SEXY THING I’VE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE. 

When Niall introduced ‘Don’t forget where you belong’ the crowd went crazy! And we made sure to sing that back as loud as we could and he seemed touched by it.

Harry almost fell over early in the show - what a clumsy loveable idiot.

Some girls from the show had given a large part of the crowd posters that read ‘AUS *hearts* 1D’ and we all held them up during Night Changes and Liam was so surprised and so touched by it, he said it was the first Australian show that has done that and he loved it. The fireworks were amazing and the boys just did a really good show. Even though it was a mixed set list like Sydney, I still thoroughly enjoyed it!

so. i got there fairly early. the lines for merch were small and the people selling it were fast and very lovely, same with the security people. i was sat next to a girl and her boyfriend who got dragged along but they were both so, so lovely and we had good chats through the night which i’m super thankful for because i was very anxious and scared seeing as it was the first show i’d ever been to alone and my biggest show ever.

the setlist………….. as much as there were a few songs i’d rather them switched out with others, i can see why they made the choices they did. during little white lies i couldn’t hear the screams of anyone over the music is was so loud, it was one of my favourite songs of the night. ready to run was incredible too and left me BAWLING my fucking eyes out. they’re such amazing performers. they look like they have so much fun but they’re so intense at the same time, like. louis especially. he was so !!! and so happy and bouncy and little. niall was incredible with his guitar, he looked so sexy and like, happy. every now and then liam would stop singing and listen to the crowd and he’d have this little smile on his face and it ruined my entire life, he looked so proud.

the crowd were so lovely. i was sort of expecting it to be really pushy and shovey on the way out but it wasn’t, everyone was polite and it was quiet and quick and that made it a lot easier on everyone.

as a group, the boys were flawless, i think. like, i’ve been going to shows since i was eleven that’s seven years now and i’ve easily seen hundreds of bands. i’ve been up close and i’ve been right at the very back but nothing has ever compared to this. i’ve never seen five people so in sync with each other, they just work so well and so hard. they deserve every bit of success they have. they do so well at engaging the crowd, with like, getting them to clap or sing or dance. letting us finish the end of little things and clapping during girl almighty and stuff like, you’d think standing for two and a half hours would get tiring but you don’t even notice because you’re having so much fun. they make it so, fucking fun. 

the boys individually were so on point and omg.

zayn is really coming out of his shell like he was dancing and mucking around and it made me smile so much. holy fuck he’s got a voice, like. i knew he could sing, everyone knows zayn can sing, but i didn’t expect what i heard. he hit every note, his runs were flawless. he is incredible and just so cute. he’s so cute. he’s so little! and his hair suits him so well. his little chat was lovely, he was very sweet and sincere and i just adore him.

as i said, niall was so sexy. his guitar faces were just……….. fucking hell. he was so happy to be up there and he was doing these ridiculous australian accents and he was so proud so show off his signed lions jersey and his speech before dfwyb was so :’)))) it makes my heart swell to see how proud he gets of the five of them. i love him so much i could watch him play guitar for the rest of my life.

one thing harry said that really got to me was “this room is filled with all our favourite people” and everytime i think of it i start to cry. he is honestly just so nice. i don’t know how else to say it - he’s a good hearted, warm, lovely person with so much love in him. he picked a little girl out of the crowd and called her pretty, he said nothing else matters to them except us having a good time, he danced and laughed and sang his little heart out and looked so happy doing it. he’s the worlds biggest sweetheart.

liam is just everywhere like, he uses the stage so well. he runs around and talks to everyone and engages them and he’s sweet and happy and he dances!! he’s so shocking at it but it’s so cute!! he listens to the crowd and he truly enjoys what he does. it’s so incredible. his voice is so amazing too, his range is flawless. i love liam. i have a new found love for liam after last night. what an angel.

oh my god though louis fucking tomlinson. mr no solos to mr i can hit every note ever heard of. fluffy haired little angel boy from heaven sent specifically to RUIN MY FUCKING LIFE. he was so LITTLE and so intense! what a little munchkin. i can’t believe. i’ve heard people say he’s even more beautiful in real life and i was like yeah alright whatever but no. serious. he’s drop dead gorgeous. the shill shriek of “OH MY GOD LOUIS” when he first came up on the screen…. i’ve never heard that sound leave my mouth before and i never want to again. i think i deafened everyone within a five mile radius. and his mic was so loud!!!! everything was louis!!! i love him with all my heart and soul!!! nd he kept like, hugging liam and zayn and oh god. he was fonding at harry and crinkle smiling at niall and he was the one to sit back and go this is my life and what an amazing life it is. he’s so amazing. i love him.

louis and harry were like planets all night, orbiting each other. it was so weird to watch, they were so gentle and so happy every time they touched and every time they walked past each other. but they all were like ??? louis’ gentle touches when he wraps an arm around niall or zayn or liam and liam being gentle when he cups zayn’s cheek like fucking hell these boys love each other so much it breaks my heart.

The second show on the OTRA tour has exponentially improved. You can see how much more confident the boys were in delivering the dialogue during the breaks between songs, which made the songs’ transitions so much more seamless. It just goes to show how much a good night’s rest and an extra rehearsal can do wonders.

The first On The Road Again concert was highly anticipated by everyone. So much hype was surrounding it because of the release of FOUR and the new tracks that would be performed live. I was incredibly hyped for it. I was so excited for the concert but I had seen how little rehearsal time the boys had for the OTRA concert over the media so I came into the stadium with low expectations.

 for what it’s worth, i really, really enjoyed the concert — and i respect everyone’s opinions about how they felt about it but here’s what i thought~
